i am planning to have the flowers delivered to her workplace,,but i am not sure what flower and what colour to get. i know different flowers and colours mean something. she's not my girlfriend but we have this somewhat 'mutual understanding' that we like each other. so what do u think i should get her?
she works as a hostess at a restaurant in a hotel so is it appropriate to send her flowers during work?
any help would be greatly appreciated
thanks! =)
What colour of flower should i give the girl that's really special to me?
orchids, purple one. screw the rose, everyone gets roses
Reply:yellow are friendship and pink usually means you're her secret admirer while red means love. Maybe get her a mix with all three of these colors.
Reply:If she's really special to you, surely you've noticed her telling you what her favorite color or flower is. Also, if you're not fighting, woman love getting flowers, especially at work. Try something not too fancy, you don't want to scare her off.
Reply:dont just get one type of flower, and make sure its not roses! Roses are too out played, their yesterdays news. Go to FTD.com and you'll see some amazing ideas for any type of feelings you have. Tiger lilies are awesome!
Reply:i would send her either white roses or her favorite flower in her favorite color
Reply:i say pinkish orange really pretty and really traditional never give a girl a yellow rose unless shes sick or hurt lol well good luck
Reply:White or pink roses or a combo of them both would be great...Do not do red yet..........If you are sending them to her work, Don't cheap out and get carnations or anything, The other woman can be very catty and opinionated so go with the roses, just not red...................
Reply:send red long stem roses. they are beautiful. and yes, you can send them to her work place. she will love them. she will get a lot of attention from her co-workers.....she willl probably like that too. dont forget the card with a nice message.
Reply:Red is for love. Pink is for like. Yellow is for friendship. I wouldn't send them to her work. Flowers and food don't always go together plus they would be in the way and get dumped over. Send them to her home or better yet bring them to her. Nothing is more romantic than a man bearing flowers.
Reply:pink is the color meaning affection. heck, any color would be great! sending flowers is a very sweet gesture :)
Reply:Pink or Yellow.
Reply:You should send her whatever type of flower most reminds you of her. Look at different ones, and see if there is a specific type or a few different flowers that really just seem her.
Reply:Theres an unique rose, its purple and it smells like lemons....
or find out her favourite colour.

Reply:Pink is a friendly color. And yes, girls LOVE to get flowers at work. It shows you are serious.
Reply:Red roses symbolise desire, strength, and passionate love. With beauty, courage and heat as its symbolism, it's no surprise that a bouquet filled with rich, red blooms knows no restraint.
good Luck!!!
Reply:red roses mean love yellow mean friendship since you'r kinda in the middle i'd send white roses
Reply:Tell the clerk at the flower shop what you just told us. They always know what to send and when.
Reply:hen giving cut roses as Valentine gifts, we adhere to a time-honored formula that takes into account rose color meanings. The formula matches a rose's color to its intended meaning as a gift. Valentine's Day is primarily a lovers' holiday, and red roses are traditionally for lovers. "Valentine roses" and "red roses" go hand in hand, even though other colors have their place on the holiday. Our close family members may also be treated to red roses for Valentine's Day, but we avoid giving roses of this color to friends on Valentine's Day -- that would simply convey the wrong meaning. The following are the meanings traditionally attached to the most popular roses, according to colors; use this list as a guide when selecting Valentine roses:
Red roses mean romantic love; they're the "Valentine roses," par excellence.
Purple, coral and orange challenge red as the color for Valentine roses.
The rose color meanings for these 3 are as follows:
The specific purpose of purple roses is to signify that the giver has fallen in love with the recipient at first sight.
Meanwhile, coral and orange roses signal desire.
The meaning of yellow roses is joy and friendship.
We express our gratitude and appreciation with pink roses....
While feelings of admiration and sympathy find words with roses that are light pink in color.
Peach is more ambiguous, as it can signify either sympathy or gratitude.
Their purity naturally enough lends to white roses the meaning of reverence and humility.
I recommend http://www.2flowers.com/ to send her beauty red roses.
Reply:Roses are more for the "I love you" deal....
How about soemthing pink....I think that color means "I like you alot."

Is there a flower shop that can deliver to your door and you can pay at the door?
Im 14 and me and my sister (11) are looking for flowers for our mom on mothers day. On the internet we have to use credit cards and since were not old enough we dont have cards yet....and we can't go out to get flowers without blowing the cover. ( We want to suprise our mom ) I'm looking for a place that delivers flowers to our front door and we just pay with cash. Any recomendations? thanks :D
Is there a flower shop that can deliver to your door and you can pay at the door?
I suggest that you select a flower shop near where you live and either phone them or walk to their office. If you phone them, ask them if they can comply with your request. If you can walk there, you can pay to have the flowers delivered.
Reply:if you have relatives such as uncles, aunts, call them to help you suprise your Mom and you will pay cash to them later

If you either deliver things to homes or have them delivered?
(such as pizza, flowers, FedEx, or anything!), do you 1) come on to the person delivering? or 2) get come-ons from the people you deliver to? How do you handle the situation?
If you either deliver things to homes or have them delivered?
I get hit on a lot when I deliver pizza's... I just kind of laugh in an thankful manner... one time I dropped the money and turned around to pick it up... and this lady said, "omg wow"... I looked back really quick and notice her smiling at me... I felt a little embarassed...lol.
Sometimes they invite me back after work... I say, "I can't against company policy"... even though other drivers do.
Reply:I delivered two kids. Does that count? Not the type of come on situation you are talking about tho:) In fact I don't think the doctor would come on to anyone in that (postion) LOL
Reply:no come ons here at all
Reply:No, I don't do or have had either. I have been blessed that I have had all repectable delivery people. If it did happen, I would report them to the company in which they work for.
Reply:I've actually had a few pizza delivery girls come-on to me. Might have taken them up on it if I'd been looking at the time.
Reply:I deliver flowers......i'm 19 and all I get is horny old men over the age of 55.......go figure
Reply:Stay professional. Nothing beats it. And always look like you just KNOW They are kidding.

If no one saw the flowers did they exist?
I spent $170 on a floral spray for a loved relative who's funeral I could not attend. I placed the order with the florist recommended by the funeral home and they seemed very accommodating.
After speaking with most of the relatives who did attend the funeral, nobody recalls seeing these flowers or my card. I called the florist and they later told me they had the receipt and the delivery driver specifically remembers delivering them.
I'm not a wealthy woman and the flowers being there meant a lot to me. I don't want to hurt the florist financially if they did what I paid them to do, but don't I deserve some sort of refund if they didn't?
This is all the information I have, so I have to make a decision based on what I've written. I'm considering filing an investigation request with my credit card company to have the charges reversed.
If no one saw the flowers did they exist?
Those things sometimes get mishandled at the funeral home. You could dispute the charge, but they will offer a signed receipt. The burden of proof is on you, and you have no proof.

How does one give/take flowers to a graveside service?
can i purchase cut flowers and just bring them wrapped?
Or will a florist deliver to the graveyard?
Or do i have to go thru the funeral services folks (that are driving the body to the graveyard in a hearse from a distant city)
There is no funeral or memorial service happening (there has been a viewing in another city)
I don't want anything socially awkward but i didn't send flowers to the viewing...The flowers are from a big group, my brothers, me, my mom; all our famlies.
I want the answer for what would be socially normal for american christians. the expected etiquette.
I know i can actually do absolutely anything i want.
How does one give/take flowers to a graveside service?
If you are going to attend the funeral / graveside service yes bring flowers with you to lay on the grave or casket.( if that is your thing..)
If you will not be attending the ceremony and would like to show your respect and condolences I feel that you should send the flowers to the family. The florist can deliver them to the house .. give the name and address details. As for having them sent to the graveside Im not too sure about that.. who is going to lay them for you?
Alot of times there is a request .. " in lieu of flowers a donation" .. to a charity of the family's choice... this is always nice and what I prefer to do.
I do this because of what my grandmother said before she died. " please dont bring me flowers when I die, Im not going to be there to enjoy them."
I still every so often bring flowers to her grave but its usually wild flowers that I pick out of the garden. Those were her favorites.
Flowers are a nice sentiment, but I would send them to the family to enjoy instead of to the grave to just sit there.
Reply:If you are making a trip to the graveside to show respect, carrying flowers would be appropriate. If you are not actually going to the gravesite, you can request a delivery by the florist. (Have all the information...name, site #, etc. available for the florist).
Reply:Sometimes cemeteries have their own rules. If the funeral hasn't occured yet, the florist would probably deliver them to the funeral director, who would bring them along. If it's over %26amp; you want to bring them yourself, ask the cemetary what there rules are.

Do you know where i can buy cheap flowers to send?
I'm trying to send my boyfriend flowers and i dont want to spend $100 to send him some. so does any one know of a website or place i ca get affordable flowers to send? please help me...i want to deliver them to a city called fairview heights illinois... i need help! please
Do you know where i can buy cheap flowers to send?
There are several grocery stores with florists in the area of Fairview Hts. You might start there. Flowers around Valentines Day are going to be high no matter who you try, so perhaps an alternate gift idea might be in order.

Reply:schnuks, roses + delivery about 40-50 dollars. I do it every year
