are you supposed to tip the person delivering them and if so how much?

No. These are from someone to you, you didn%26#039;t ask for the service. The person ordering the flowers should be the tipper if anyone.
Reply:Floral delivery people make about $2- $3 per delivery. Depending on how far they have to go from the florist%26#039;s location. On high volume days, (Valentine%26#039;s, Mother%26#039;s, etc.) individuals are %26quot;hired%26quot; as independent contractors. They are not reimbursed for the use of their vehicle.





As a rule, no one tips them.
Reply:It%26#039;s always a good and proper thing to tip the delivery person (flowers, food, laundry, courier...but not mail or packages). Usually, $2-3 is sufficient.

Reply:Heck no...you know how much them damn things cost to begin with. They need to pay the delivery person...not you. Do you tip the UPS guy..Tip fedex? your mail man? Some people just got too much money. Employers need to pay the employees.

If you ordered flowers for some reason, yes. As with any delivery person, you should tip, unless the service was bad. Many delivery people have to pay for their own gas and vehicle maintenance.





How much depends on how far away the establishment is from your house and how big the load...the further it is/larger the order in size, the more you should tip.





If it was a bouquet, maybe a dollar...couple wreaths and some potted plants 5 bucks...along those lines.





Edit: Not ANY delivery person...UPS Fedex and the USPS and the paperboy all do this as their primary reason for existence...delivering you this thing. Paperboys you can tip if you want since they normally don%26#039;t make that much...but flower shops and pizza stores sell those things, the delivery is a special service.

Reply:Nah just take the flowers unless you are in a good mood. All they are doing is giving you flowers-which they are paid to do, easy job I think!
Reply:It%26#039;s their job so why do you have to pay them to do something they are already being payed to do. Do you tip your garbage man or your mail man? If so, you%26#039;re just too nice which isn%26#039;t always a bad thing but it does mean some people may use you
