Sending flowers?

I'm making a flower boquet for mother's day. I want it delivered. How do I do that w/ my OWN bouqet?!

Sending flowers?
It’s a wonderful gift idea.

Here is how you can do it. Find a local box supplier; you need to get a vertical box which is just a bit longer then the length of you bouquet. I will include a vase (one with a thicker glass) to hold the flowers so that they don't move too much. Sprinkle some water and cover with floral paper. Get couple gel ice pack from your local medical store and freeze them well. Now place the vase with the flowers and the frozen ice packs in the box. Make sure you secure the ice packs and vase by a tape or something and use next day air with FedEx OR DHL.

Hope this helps.

It might get bit expensive. You might want to check out gitfblooms.com for Mother's Day delivery. I just now suggested the same site to someone else.
Reply:If it's a live bouquet %26amp; needs to go "same day," DHL will do it, but it'll cost you a LOT (hundreds.) If it's preserved/dried, UPS, FedEx, DHL or any number of the other delivery services (or the USPS, if you're in America,) can help you.

Ordering flowers from FTD, is it a scam?

has anybody had a bad experience with FTD..do they really mail the flowers on time like they say? i read on here that FTD stands for "forget to deliver".

is ftd a scam or a legit flower company?

Ordering flowers from FTD, is it a scam?
Forget FTD and all the other on line flower people like Teleflora and others. They are generally NOT reliable! If you wish to send flowers, go to or call a local florist who can take your order and contact a florist in the town where the delivery will be made. This is the safest most reliable way.
Reply:I've ordered flowers from FTD after looking at the various pics of arrangements they have. The flowers that show up are often of poor quality for some reason. So I gave up on FTD and now just Google a florist in the town where I want them sent and order that way. I have even called the florist, told them to look at a pic of a bouquet on FTD's website, and they have made it perfectly!

So my advice, don't do FTD. Go to a local. You'll get a better deal. Just google florist and whatever town they are supposed to go.
Reply:FTD is legit but they're not very reliable. I've heard several accounts of how they don't deliver.

A co-worker of mine got flowers for Valentine's Day from her boyfriend about 2-3 weeks before the actual date!!! And a friend of mine paid extra $ to ensure delivery on Valentine's Day %26amp; they didn't deliver the flowers until the following day.

Don't order from FTD!
Reply:They are legit. I've used FTD florists many times.
Reply:FTD is a national association of florists. You order the flowers in your town. Your local florist picks up the phone and call the city where you want the flowers delivered. In that city a florist makes up the boquet and delivers it. They pay a fee to FTD from the amount you pay.

The only problem I have heard of is sometimes the quality of flowers at the recipient florist are not as good as advertised. If you are really leary get the reciever to photograph the boquet and send you the pic.

What kind of gift would you get for a guy to be ordered and delivered with-in three days?

This is a very masculine guy who is a world renowned classical musician his birthday is in 3 days and I don’t have time to send anything by post so I need to order something and have it delivered. What kind of gift would you send a guy you love? He is g0y so not into gender bending or anything. This is a guy who is very refined yet very masculine. I am at a loss as to what to order. I don’t want to do flowers because that seems too girly. What do you guys think? He is into organic foods and doesn't drink so a bottle of wine is out of the question. Beer is also out. Please help I am at a loss.

What kind of gift would you get for a guy to be ordered and delivered with-in three days?
You have the wrong impression of flowers...they are nice for all...but why not a really nice potted plant...it will remind him of you everyday, needs only minimal care, and will last a long time. These are the kinds of gifts I prefer...ones that keep on giving. I have plants here at the house that, everytime I see them, I think of the person and circumstance(s) that I recieved them..always brings a smile and warm feeling. Good luck and love.
Reply:a plant is great but how about a miniature fruit producing one- - you can actually pick of tiny oranges.

a delivery of organic specialties: coffee, tea, jams, bread, gourmet popcorn, crackers, nuts, cheese, sausage, your choice. Report It

Reply:From your description; give him a gift that will remind him of you; when the two of you are apart from each other. Perhaps a jersey from his favorite sports team. Maybe perhaps an online food basket/goodies basket would suffice such as Harry and David's:

http://www.harryanddavid.com.

They can provide you with tons of cookies, fruits, crackers, chocolates, etc....
Reply:http://www.tree2mydoor.com/products/prod...

Thats the only thing I can think of
Reply:A gift card for a very nice restaurant or a specialty men's shop.
Reply:AN ONLINE GIFT CARD.....IT CAN BE USED ANYWHERE FOR ANYTHING.....ITS A GIFT CARD FROM MASTER CHARGE OR WHEREEVER
Reply:well you said he is a classical musician have you looked online to see if there are any classical concerts in the area where he is at? Maybe if so, you could get him tickets. For my man I usually buy him video games because that is what he into and that is what he enjoys or tools, a lot guys are happy with tools but I am sure anything that you get him he will love since it is coming from the heart, by the way if you order something sometimes they offer 2nd day delivery. Good luck :-)
Reply:Get him a nice watch.
Reply:Be careful with the classical music. I am a classical guy, and are we ever hard to please. I mean the CD or concert has to be *exactly* what he likes. You can't imagine how picky we are about this stuff. But if you are sure its what he wants (hes said so) it would be dead on.

Sapphire cuff-links...ahhh yeah!
Reply:omaha steaks?...Gift certificates...spa certificate for a sports manicure and hair cut...cologne...wallet...a engraved clock...picture frame...engraved pen...check out things remembered...
Reply:I would order him an Apple Ipod...and on the back of it you can have a little love message put on it for free!!!
Reply:Artisan cheeses, maybe?

Restaurant gift certificates are my fall-back position for guys. It's basically buying him a nice night out. I'd assume if he's a musician he's in a metropolitan area. Find out what the hot restaurant is at the moment and make reservations.
Reply:I don't want your stinkin' points...but thanks for the 2 right now!

[starts laughing at the 'g0y' comment]
Reply:What about organic wines? They do exist.

www.theorganicwinecompany.com
Reply:Mail him dry ingredients that you have a recipe for and you have the other ingredients that go with his. Leave a note saying: if you want to know what this tastes like, call me cuz I have the other half of the recipe and want to cook it for ya! Something healthy with chicken is a must.
Reply:1-You could send his favorite cologne

2-A tie

3-Collection of classical music cd's

4-A decor; such as a statue or a carving

ummm...running out of ideas
Reply:Order him something nice and personalized.. www.redenvelope.com has alot of really nice things.

The floral arrangement I paid to be delivered to my mom, 2000 miles from me, were not sent, what to do????

I went to a local florist in a small town in California to send a mothers day floral arrangement to my mom, who lives in a small town in Ohio. Even though I ordered and paid in cash on Monday they scheduled delivery for the following Saturday, after promising delivery between 8 a.m. and noon at noon they informed me that it might take till six since its a holiday delivery. At around 4 they advised me they would be delivering until 8 pm. My mom is in her 70's and perfers being asleep by 7. I'm so frustrated at this pont my mom has no flowers and the shop in Ohio does not deliver on Motheres Day. Any suggestions??? Oh, by the way this cost about sevanty dollars to expirence. Ideas?????

The floral arrangement I paid to be delivered to my mom, 2000 miles from me, were not sent, what to do????
If they guaranteed delivery, you may have some recourse for a refund...however...in the future , you may find it more benficial , not be mention cheaper to call a florist in Ohio yourself. Do a little research on the web and find one near mom and call them direct, most florists have toll free numbers, then you can find out what they have in stock and if and when they can deliver it:)
Reply:i would sue .. or ask for money back .. BE FORCEFUL!!
Reply:GET A REFUND FROM TH EFLORAL WHERE YOU HAD THE FLOWERS SENT IS THE BEST IDEA I HAVE,SORRY I AM OF NO BETTER HELP
Reply:call them back on Tuesday get your money back and make them send her 2 sets for free . just for the mess they maid. they will do it. ( maybe you should throw in a cry here and there) it might work.

Don't you just love it when he remembers to buy you flowers?

I get flowes every Thursday.

Sometimes just a random bunch, sometimes a posy, sometimes an arrangement fom the florist, and sometimes just a single rose from his own garden...

Sometimes delivered and other times he gives it to me personally, but somehow he makes sure that I get flowers every Thursday....

Am I a spoiled brat?

Don't you just love it when he remembers to buy you flowers?
Aw that is lovely and so thoughtful. Not a spoiled brat but a girl with a lovely dad.

I love getting flowers. it makes me feel special.
Reply:yup

Reply:Yes, definitely spoiled brat. I was lucky to get flowers on Valentine's day....that was about it, with ALL of my ex's...no matter how much I hinted about it.
Reply:Oh but of course i love it.

it makes me feel all funny inside.

i think its very sweet for a guy to remember to send flowers, it goes to show that he thinks about you.
Reply:itd be nice if my girlfriend brought me flowers!

Reply:You are lucky girl...Try to surprise him also sometimes...
Reply:hmmm i dont think so, but i love flowers you know, i really love if my bf give me a flower

Is it ok that I sent this girl flowers?

I only hung out with this girl twice through another friend and we got along really well. She seemed like she liked me. After that we fell out of touch. I met her again a party the other night and I was drunk. I forgot her name and she seemed to get upset about it. I remembered it later. Anyway, I realized I liked her that night. She's going through a rough time because her friend is in the hospital. Today I sent her a bouqet of flowers (not roses) to cheer her up. I wrote on the card, "Smile, Kassi.." "From the guy who's very sorry he forgot your name." They should've delivered them hours ago. We didn't know each other that well, was it a bad idea that I sent them? We have no means of contacting each other except by Myspace right now and I guess I thought she's get on and send me a message or something, but she hasn't. I'm concerned that maybe I freaked her out or something. What do you think?

Is it ok that I sent this girl flowers?
Okay, first of all, calm down...you're kind of freaking out.

Maybe she just hasn't gotten home yet and hasn't had a chance to see the flowers. Maybe something went wrong with the delivery. You never know, there are plent of rational reasons the flowers haven't gotten to her yet.

STILL...

You still have to prepare yourself for the fact that maybe, god forbid, she's just not interested. It happens unfortunately.

Worrying about whether it was a bad idea or not to send the flowers is now irrelevant. What's done is done. For now all you can do is keep your hopes up and brace yourself for possible rejection. Good luck man.
Reply:I think it is ok to send the girl the flowers the will be very appricated of it.

I think sending her flowers was a very gentlemanly thing to do. I would not get my undies in a bundle over it. You will hear from her in time. Just know you made her smile.
Reply:It is never wrong to send anyone flowers. It shows you care and I think that was a very good thing you did. If she has any class at all she will at least contact you and thank you for the flowers. If not, at least you know you tried to apologize in a very nice way.
Reply:She's just a little upset and mad with u. U did the right thing. If u like her try to rebuild ur relationship but stronger. Hang out with her more often and apologise to her.
Reply:It's actually very sweet.....but don't expect some quick response. She probably has things on her mind like her sick friend. Just give it time...I'm sure you'll find her out somewhere again and then you will be able to talk to her. Don't over think it....she understands you're sorry....Just talk to her when you run into her again......Just make sure not to forget her name!
Reply:Thats very cute, did u send the flowers as an apology or because you like her? Thats a huge difference in a girls eyes. If she isnt calling u then u know ur answer.
Reply:I think that is very sweet of you to send her flowers, especially since she is going through some tough times. Maybe she just didn't get a chance to thank you yet. I wouldn't worry about it too much. If she doesn't respond then at least you tried and you can move on.
Reply:I think your rushing it give her time. or if she doesn't say anything move on.
Reply:awww..that was so sweet %26amp; romantic

and the lady who works there said there's gonna be EXTRA $40 delivery fee if I wanted to get them delivered on Valentine's day.

Also we're gonna get loads of snow on Thursday

so..would that be WEIRD?!?!

please help me....

Would it be weird to get flowers the day b4 valentine's day?
It wouldn't be weird I don't think so!
Reply:The flowers could be a pre-valentine's day thing and then you could go out to dinner or stay in and cook or something like that for Valentine's Day. I think it wouldn't matter too much to her.
Reply:I don't think it would be weird! And she (or he) definitely won't be expecting them!!

If you just really have doubts, though.... could you try another florist?? That's pretty steep to charge that much more for holiday delivery!! YIKES! I would have to boycott them!
Reply:NO,,,,it will probably be a great unexpected surprise! Use the $40 to take her to dinner on the 14th!
Reply:Send them tues or wed , she can enjoy them longer

no it wouldnt be weird. flowers is not just for valentines day. you can give your partner flowers a week before it doesnt matter. if she loves you enough she would adore your flowers whenever she gets them.
Reply:one day before is acceptable...ever better if you ask me...You'll get some pre-Valentine gifts ;)

but if u take care of them and make sure they don't get dried out or cold they should be fine

Questions for the Ladies on flowers?

Ladies what do you prefer. Knowing that a dozen roses will cost your significant other $125 or so to have delivered or to give you, would you prefer something else that you do together or do you like the flowers.

Questions for the Ladies on flowers?
I would much rather have anything else but flowers.Flowers are nice every now and again, the cheap ones. There is no real thought that goes into flowers.I would rather go have fun. go to the spa,or receive a gift that required some thought.
Reply:While flowers are a nice gesture, I'd feel horrible knowing my husband spent that kind of money on something that would wilt in a few days. I'd much rather we spend time together doing something intimate and less expensive...or at least more memorable.
Reply:Flowers die and if you want to spend that much money on something that will be dead in a week go for it but a woman would rather have a nice dinner, a weekend getaway or some nice words written on a piece of notebook paper left where she would find it and trust me a smile will be on her face the rest of the day.
Reply:well I personally dont like flowers because you get them and they start to die immediately. Its not a very nice gesture to say "here are some flowers watch them die" if your looking to get something for someone look for something that lasts, even doing something together because the memory will last
Reply:Roses are nice, but die very fast.
Reply:Just one rose and a nice dinner would make me happy. But then again, I am not hard to please.
Reply:I would be happy with a half doz. roses, and a romantic dinner with my man. Or a bokay of red roses and white carnations( carnations are pretty and reasonable and they go well mixed in with roses), with a gift of gold (doesn't have to be the most expensive, but nice)...given with a little love an attention.

What would guys like to get instead of flowers?

Men can send a women a bunch of flowers for a special event. That's pretty no-brainer. But what if a woman wants to send something to a man, something that is delivered to his office? Men, what would you like to get that would be classy and flattering, without going the flowers route?

What would guys like to get instead of flowers?
Tickets to a major sporting event?

I like wings. My wife tried to get Hooter's to deliver wings to my office once. That would have been messy and I don't know that the Hooter's girls would have gone over very well, but I appreciated the thought and effort.
Reply:chocolate.. if a girl sent me flowers id like that too even though its kinda weird.
Reply:sports tickets, beer, strip tease,
Reply:I sent my guy a money clip that had his first initial and last name engraved on it to celebate his getting promoted. but that cost me way more than a dozen roses, lol.
Reply:Well some men are obsessed with something....or have a hobby....

perhaps a desire or a dream

Let's say my guy friend dreamed of playing guitar

I might get him one....! lol

We'll have weekly jam sessions - when he's able to play. lol
Reply:Maybe a gift card from a sport bar.....
Reply:im not a man... but i know they like chocolate!
Reply:a girl that pops out of a cake(ok a classy girl)

Has anyone ordered bridal flowers from Costco?

They have complete sets for the entire wedding party for less than $500.00 delivered to your home. I called them, their rep said it looks just the the photos online. If you've ordered flowers from them or Sams club was it worth it? Did you save $money? Thank you

Has anyone ordered bridal flowers from Costco?
My neighbor's daughter had her flowers from Sam's Club and they looked amazing! She used white roses and blue hydrangea's. She saved a ton of money and they really did look amazing.

The only thing was they were not premade arrangements she and her mother had to make them.
Reply:My sister did she said they were such a good deal compared to the local florist and they looked amazing at the wedding...

and they good quality too

i think they had some artifical ones too but im not sure
Reply:We are getting ours from Costco, my fiance works there and we have guaranteed that they look perfect! There flowers are great quality, go for it!!
Reply:ooh i did!!! my sister bought my wedding flowers from costco and then made my bouquets for me! so it cost me around $300 for the flowers...and everyone said how HUGE my boquet was...my bridesmaid boquets were bigger then most normal brides are!!

you can order the flowers you want ahead of time and then they arrive fresh for you..

*my sister used to be a flowrist so she figured out the cost of what it would have been if i bought the flowers from a florist and it would have been over $2000 in flowers!! so ya go with costco- i honestly recomment it!!!

FIrst of all...thats SWEEET! I'd be pretty happy if a guy sent me flowers that way :)...But yeah you forgot her name? thats pretty bad. She might be a little mad. And do you know if she was drunk that night too..cause she might have been and not've known you fergot her name. which means she didnt know who sent the flowers.
Reply:If they were only sent a few hours ago, you should calm down. There's a chance she hasn't even gotten them yet, and if she has, she's probably really distracted because her friend is in the hospital as you said.

Since you don't know her very well, I would suggest waiting until the next time you see her then casually mention the flowers. Sending her a myspace message so soon is a little clingy and unecessary.

It was a sweet thing to do, just be patient.

Did you notice the flowers ?

An elderly Chinese woman had two large pots, each hung on the ends of a pole, which she carried across her neck.

One of the pots had a crack in it while the other pot was perfect and always delivered a full portion of water.

At the end of the long walk from the stream to the house, the cracked pot arrived only half full.

For a full two years this went on daily, with the woman bringing home only one and a half pots of water.

Of course, the perfect pot was proud of its accomplishments.

But the poor cracked pot was ashamed of its own imperfection, and miserable that it could only do half of what it had been made to do.

After 2 years of what it perceived to be bitter failure, it spoke to the woman one day by the stream.

“I am ashamed of myself, because this crack in my side causes water to leak out all the way back to your house.”

The old woman smiled, “Did you notice that there are flowers on your side of the path, but not on the other pot’s side?

How do men feel about getting flowers?????

I'm not sure I want to send flowers because I don't even know how that would go over with my boyfriend. I want to send something to his work just to let him know I'm thinking of him. I love getting flowers but do guys???? I want to ask him how he'd feel but I'd want it to be a surprise. Should I just send a card or something???? Or what else could I send???? He loves Nike Dunks so I was thinking of ordering a pair and getting them delivered there because he'd be so surprised. This isn't for any special occasion just a simple I love you to death type gesture. Any ideas would help. Thanx

How do men feel about getting flowers?????
it depends on the man, but normally they just don't appreciate flowers as much as us girls do. the gesture, however, is almost always appreciated. if he's into video games you could buy him a cool new game like GTA4 and drop it off at his work with a bow and a note. this can work with pretty much whatever your guy happens to be into. It's alot cuter if it's something small, like the game or baked goods or something like that, i'd say save the shoes for a special occasion like his birthday or your anniversary :)
Reply:Aw, that's nice. Most guys don't go all mushy for flowers like women do, but guys can appreciate a single rose. So send a big beautiful rose along with the present and a card with a special note written by you and I'm sure he'd appreciate that. ;]

Good luck.
Reply:I'm not to sure about flowers.. You should try something like candy, or chocolate covered strawberry's. I also think the Nike Dunks are a great idea.

hope this helps :)
Reply:I don't like flowers, I'd rather you buy me something useful than flowers.
Reply:i don't know about your man but mine says never send nothing to his work maybe pack he's lunch with something in it leave it in his car when he doesn't know.

Blooming britain online flowers how can they justify advertising? they do nothing that they promise!?

ordered a bouqet for a new baby, the comapny delivered it to milton keynes and not to chester two days late in appalling condition, they will not return my calls or e-mails. I returned the flowers to them. How can such companies exist when their standards are so low?

Blooming britain online flowers how can they justify advertising? they do nothing that they promise!?
Contact trading standards in your area. They will sort this out for you.

I have used several online such as jersey flowers and never had a problem. However, the best way I have found is contact talking pages and ask for a florist in the area you want to send the flowers to.

You then make your own choice of florist and phone your choice. This I method I have found to be more personal and I derive far more pleasure doing it this way. You can actually tell the florist what you want and it can work out to far cheaper than having a set bouquet..

I hope you have this matter resolved to your satisfaction and that the baby is not a year old before it is.

Have you every wondered what that bunch of flowers you sent look like.....?

What worries you when you spend money with a florist over the phone or on the internet and you are not going to see the flowers? What if there was a service where you saw exactly what had been delivered and you paid no relay fees. Would you use these florists, or would you still use the companies that charge huge fees because they have been around a long time?

Have you every wondered what that bunch of flowers you sent look like.....?
Such a service would be nice, and yes I'd use it as long as its customer service was great.

In this age of the internet, however, when I send flowers the recipient usually sends me a picture of what they received.

Also, what other things would be good. Is there something else that could be delivered. Any other sweet gift ideas are always appreciated.

How do I go about sending flowers to someone in the hospital?

I have a friend in the hospital who just had surgery and I wanted to send some flowers (he's a guy, but I don't know what else to send). I thought I'd order from the 1-800-flowers or somewhere like that online....what instructions do I give in order for them to be delivered to the hospital?? I've never done it before. Thanks!

How do I go about sending flowers to someone in the hospital?
I have worked 4 years as a florist so I will be happy to answer your question. First of all is your friend in a hospital locally? If so go to your nearest florist and pick out what you would like and have them deliver it. If it isn't local, you can still go to the local florist and they will call the florist closest to his hospital and have them sent. You can also see some arrangements such as an FTD bouquet or something that they have done and tell them you want something like that. They can tell the other florist what you want as florist try to keep a variety on hand to duplicate arrangements shown in books. Of course some flowers may not be available due to seasons like tulips. They will often do it on the spot , but sometimes not, but you will know exactly what it is going to cost for the arrangement, the delivery fee and the wire fee. You just pay the local florist and the florists work out payment amongst the two of them. They are the go between and want to make you happy too. You can order from 1-800 flowers if you wish. They will have photos of arrangements on line. You would give them info on where to deliver and pay by credit card.
Reply:hospital name, address, room number, name of recipient.
Reply:Normally theres a gift shop in the hospital sweetie. Go there..... they have lotssss of flowers and chocolate and cards.
Reply:The flower place will know what to do. I'm sure they've delivered there before. Just make sure you get his room number to give them. You can get that information by calling the front desk at the hospital.

You should take them in person, I'm sure he'll appreciate it even more.

You could also send one of those cookie arrangements from www.cookiesbydesign.com or some other food gift basket. Guys love food lol.

My sis-in-law in Florida gave birth to my niece last night! I live in the U.K. Is there some way I could orders flowers or a suitable gift for my sis-in-law and new born baby, to be delivered to the hospital in Tampa? I think only Interflora or Hallmark do it but they are sooo expensive and I am justa student of moderate means! Help!

The Internet is the only way in your case. Even ifyou live down here, it is expensive. However, I would not try to send it to the hospital since here in the states women only stay about 2 days and go home. Send it to her home...less stuff to carry home from the hospital. Another suggestion would be to send a plant which will continue to grow.

Do guys like flowers?

I want to have something delivered to my bf on his b-day which is in a little over a month, but all I can think of is flowers. Do guys like getting flowers?

Do guys like flowers?
I certainly like flowers. I always try to have flowers in the house to freshen up the atmosphere and aroma in the rooms. Also, I think that the different colors of flowers really create a tranquil scenery. I love when my gf gives me flowers or bring flowers home.

Reply:no. and don't send balloons either.
Reply:Depends on the GUY

Unless your boyfriend is feminine.
Reply:No, A guy will not appreciate it like a woman does.

A card or gift certificate (any kind), would be more appreciated.
Reply:Not really. I mean he'll be happy you sent him something but we really have no emotional feelings to flowers.

Send those food baskets (cheese, candy, meat), guys always like food.
Reply:no

but I think they like ties
Reply:why not chocs they might be a bit better
Reply:I would have answered this no before this year. But, on my birthday my girlfriend sent a nice arrangement of flowers to my office. The ladies in the office thought it was awesome and even the men were impressed.

I did think it was a nice thought. In this day of gender biases...it was a sweet thing to do.

Reply:Sen him a cookie bouquet or something more along those lines. My guy likes flowers but wouldn't want me sending him any because of what his co-workers would say and think. Ask him slyly if he would have a problem with that!
Reply:I'm not a guy, but I think flowers are more of a thing for guys to get girls. He might feel uncomfortable getting a "feminine" gift like that. Ask his friends or your friends for some ideas for his birthday. If you're stuck, get him a couple of CDs or a shirt or something. Good luck!
Reply:No...haha. I mean, I'd appreciate the thought and effort, but... I'd rather get a card or something. Or maybe just a pizza delivered to my house for free...haha!

Home delivered orchid stems?

I'm just wondering if anyone out there has had any success with having orchid stems delivered to your house and could recommend someone.

I'm in the UK and want them for my wedding bouquet (for someone to then arrange them) but I am worried about the reliability of them because I don't want to be doing a last minute run to Tesco's for some flowers the day before my wedding!

Home delivered orchid stems?
I used http://www.growersbox.com for dendrobium orchids. I'm in the US and am not sure if they ship to the UK.

I can say that they orchids showed up in great shape and they were very easy to work with.

I have also used http://www.flowerbud.com and http://www.pacificcallas.com. They don't have dendrobium orchids, but they have cymbidium orchids.
Reply:try putting this question in home %26amp; garden
Reply:I had orchids from Hawaii delivered to Michigan in the U.S. They arrived in perfect condition, and were exactly as I hoped. Orchids are pretty hardy and can handle shipping. I also did all the arrangements by myself. I don't know if the place I used ships to the UK. They are also a non-profit that does mentally-handicapped job-training.

Also, they just changed their website; it's not as user-friendly but you can call and find out their bulk-shipping prices. They were able to ship me large groups of sprays of specific colors (and types).

You can have any flowers you wish delivered to to your house. It would be best that they be delivered the day before the wedding in order that the someone could have time to make the bouquet. They need to be put in the fridge or a very cool place in order that the blooms do not spoil overnight.

Flowers for weddings?

getting married on a budget. anybody had a wedding recently and provided the flowers themselves? how much would these sort of things cost. and whats the best way to organise it.if im doing it myself, rather than getting them delivered on the day. need some hints

Flowers for weddings?
I'm a straight bloke who happens to like flowers. Have done the table decs as a wedding present in the past. Get your friends and family to join in and u will all enjoy. It is your wedding with those who mean the most to the pair of you. Sod spending loads of money! A "budget".....................make your own special day of it! and all the flowers came from my garden, friends and from fields! And I got a s**g out it from an impressed bridesmaid!
Reply:the best thing you can do is go to a wholesale florist, of course you will be buying these items in bulk
Reply:This is a great way to go. I had my best friend do my flowers as my wedding gift, she has been arranging for a while. She bought the flowers wholesale at http://www.onlinewholesaleflowers.com they ship for free and have great wedding packages and how-to videos!
Reply:I just got married last month and my sister did my flowers. They are artificial but that just means I get to keep them. I think it only cost her like 50.00 for 3 of them. If you want I'll send you a pic
Reply:I would get some other friends/relatives to help you out. Here is a good site on organizing the flowers yourself---%26gt; http://www.cheap-chic-weddings.com/weddi...
Reply:depends on the theme
Reply:Since I don't know where you are getting married (i.e. in your home or outside in a garden, or at a small reception hall), how many guests you are having as well as how big your wedding party is, this is a hard one to answer.

The first thing to do is to decide what kind of bouquet you personally want to carry as the bride. Do you want something small and simple, with ribbons to accent the flowers and add some color? Imagine carrying uncut flowers with a ribbon tied around the center, for example. It's a natural look, and gives the impression that you cut the flowers yourself. Or, do you want a big, round bouquet with cut flowers that are placed in a holder? This has to be assembled. Do you want the bridesmaids to carry something similar? You have to consider the lapel flowers for the groom, the groomsmen, as well as your parents on both sides - corsages for the moms' (wrist or on the chest) and lapel flowers for the dads'.

The next thing to think about is how many guests you are going to have and how many tables you are providing for the reception itself. Do you want a centerpiece of flowers on each table, or perhaps a simple bud vase with a single rose in it? A large centerpiece of very colorful flowers gets costly. A centerpiece with one type of flower (carnations for example) is cheaper. A simple bud vase with one flower, or several cut flowers is cheaper.

Think about what you want and then shop around at the local florists in your area to find out what they can provide for you and your budget. You can figure out your budget for this based on the prices you will get from the florists and go from there.

As for doing it yourself, and with specific reference to the flowers, my advice is DON'T. You can do the wedding and the reception at home if you want, which is what my husband and I did when we got married 6 years ago, but we hired a florist to take care of our wedding flowers. We had centerpieces that we made ourselves (candles centered in a bowl with water and goldfish - it was a Hawaiian themed wedding), so flowers were not used in that case. We had to buy the bowls, the candles and the fish and we had family help us assemble them. But the florist took care of my bouquet, the girls' flowers, the lapel flowers for my husband and his groomsmen.

A florist will specially order the flowers you want just prior to your event, and will prepare them for you the day before. They will be refrigerated. Doing it yourself means that you will have to pick up the flowers, refrigerate them (though your refrigerator will not be set to the precise level of cooling that a florist's refrigerator is set for), cut them and place them on the tables, as well as buy the vases. You will have to prepare the bouquets, corsages and lapel pins and that means you have to buy all the supplies: flowers, ribbons, pins. Lots of work.

Honestly, you will be under enough stress that day - and you will be - so don't add to it by trying to do this yourself. You will make yourself crazy. Let someone else do the work for you. Your job is to look gorgeous, and be prepared for YOUR day.

Best wishes.

How do I make a complaint of a purchase I made. Flower Expo sent the wrong colors and flowers to a funeral?

I went to Flower Expo and ordered a bouquet for a funeral. I specified the colors I wanted and also the flowers even the ribbon to be placed on it. I asked for blue flowers and specified carnations white in color and the tips dyed blue with palms in the back ground. The owner showed me some flowers he had but I said no because they were not blue they were purple. He assured me he knew exactly what I would like and he would arrange them himself. When I paid for them I also paid delivery for this memorial gave the address to be delivered to got a reciept and left. Well to make my point I was so devestated when I got to the memorial the whole arrangement was with pink roses orange orchids and the flowers I told him were not blue. He refuses to give me a refund and says I should of took them back how many people do you know of that would carry away flowers meant for the dead and tell the family I HAD TO TAKE THEM BACK. Since he refuses to give you a refund report his company to the Better Business Bureau.
Reply:If you paid with a credit card you can dispute the charges with your credit card company. You may not get anywhere but at least you will cause him some inconvience. It's worth a shot, at worst you can delay payment for a few months.

Send flowers or bring flowers?

So me and this girl have been seeing eachother exclusively for almost 4 months and we've been talking since end of last year. As to why we're not officially together, it's not because im afraid to commit it's more that im afraid to ask her because sometimes i get the feeling she isn't ready and I don't want to jump the gun and scare her away. But we're really close and show affection in public and stuff. Anyway, her birthday is coming up and she invited me to her party that her family and friends usually have for her and I'm certain I want to give her flowers but should I send them or bring them to her personally. I feel like I want to bring them to her personally but I don't want to give her family the idea that we're in a serious relationship because I don't know how she feels about the idea yet and that maybe it would be more subtle if I had them delivered that morning. Could this be her way of introducing me to her family on that serious relationship term?

Send flowers or bring flowers?
Show up with flowers.
Reply:send them - it's more fun for a girl that way.
Reply:I would like it more if a guy brought them to me. But be careful what colors you pick. Certain colors can mean certain things…
Reply:Bring them to her personally. It's adorable, plus, just because you're bringing her a bouquet of flowers doesn't mean you're giving of a "serious relationship vibe".
Reply:Id say take them to her in person. Its her birthday so I dont think the parents would get the wrong idea. They might even think your a respectable guy bringing her a gift rather than just showing up. Also, ive been sent flowers and recieved them in person and i love seeing a guy walk up with flowers in his hand knowing thier mine, its a good feeling
Reply:Bring them to her, so she sees you AND gets the flowers. 2/2 :D
Reply:i personally think you should send them. it just have a thing to it.

answer this interesting question at: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?...
Reply:take them with you, girls love flowers, i'm sure she'd be pleased
Reply:If you bring them, make sure you also bring a vase so she can set them out not go try to find something to put them in.

If you send them, her family will ooh and ahh and mention it when you arrive.

If you bring them, they will make a big deal right in front of you. Which are you most comfortable with?
Reply:Send them with a stripper. Nothing says class like a chippendale!

Also, flowers die in a week. Give her weed.
Reply:Aw i was just thinking about this today.

I think send them, so she gets them on the morning of her birthday, delivered to her door or whatever.

Then just take a rose or something extra to the dinner thing that her family is having.
Reply:send
Reply:You bring flowers to an occasion . You send flowers after the occasion . For a birthday party bring no more then three roses and another small gift .
Reply:By bringing or sending flower will never mean you are going to marry her!! for God's sake!

It's her birthday, you guys are "dating", it's totally appropiate to bring her flowers with a little present.

Or...if she works, sent the flowers to her office!!! she will love it! and then bring a the little present to the party.
Reply:First off, the "flower" idea is great, it's one of the best way to say a woman is special. I think at this point, have it delivered would be better, since your afraid how she would react. Inviting you to a party w/ her family, is a good thing, she wants her family to meet you %26amp; get to know you. Lastly, get to know each other, do not rush into anything, it seems like you guys are heading towards the right direction, "never" ever assume anything. Before you get "into deep", make sure that you guys are both on the same page %26amp; the feeling is mutual, otherwise it may be a "heartache" waiting to happen %26amp; you do not want that..
Reply:i'm going to say this and your not going to like it.

you need and will want to be able at some point to do things that you want or need to do (things that don't hurt people of course) that said, you are being controlling by all this should i or shouldn't i. think about it, do you really want to be with someone that will not react positively to flowers or how you give them or when? you sound like you are on the rope and she's not. why is that?? are you really that desperate? does she do this with you or just you with her?

they are FLOWERS not a dimond ring, kids, house and 50 more years of looking at each other.

chill out and go with your heart and gut, if she gets strange...she aint the one. and you cant spend the rest of your life trying to guess which way is right and trickin' her and the parents can you? or can you?

What should i do about flowers that were mis-sent to my home?

i ordered flowers from ftd.com for my mother and paid extra money so that they would be delivered ON TIME to my mom who lives with me. Well, today, my mother got her flowers (a day late). They were left with a neighbor while we were out of the house. There was a SECOND vase of flowers that i did NOT order. At first i thought that was their compensation for being a day late, until i saw a card that had another persons name on it. when i looked up the person on white pages.com and then mapquested her (to see if she was nearby so i could take them to the right house) i found out she was a 65 year old woman..who lives ACROSS TOWN and in a less-than-safe area of town. What should i do? Who do i contact? i mean, ftd.com handles the orders but they're sent from local shops that aren't disclosed on the card. i feel simply awful for not taking them to her, but i'd have 3 kids with me and i don't want to risk taking them into a part of town thats known for being unsafe. what do i do?

What should i do about flowers that were mis-sent to my home?
Contact FTD, they will be able to rectify the situation. It is not up to you to deliver the flowers, not to mention if they were just left at your house it is nice enough that you are trying to help the flowers get to the person who they were bought for.

As for your late flowers I hope that you get some sort of compensation (monetary) for the flowers you purchased for your mom. I have had this happen to me and I ended up with the flowers being free and I also worked at a well known national florist company and they always rectified complaints, usually with some sort of credit and coupon for your next order.
Reply:Call FTD . They will more than likely tell you to keep the flowers and they will deliver more to the other woman.
Reply:Call FTD and let them know of the error. they can contact the local florist who can make it right.
Reply:Call the ftd florist nearest you, they'll be able to help you figure out who was responsible for delivery.
Reply:well there is a few things you need to do first if you paid extra for the flowers to be delivered on time and they still were a day late and sent (along with someone elses order who they obviously couldnt get right) you need to contact them and get a refund..why way extra for a service you didnt get?? then tell them about the flowers that didnt belong to you there isnt a friend or anyone who can take them for you or maybe you can do the nice woman a favor and resend them yourself to her since you found the address good luck
Reply:I would call the florist and tell them what happen. Most likely they will let you keep the flowers and make up for the mistake by sending new flowers to the correct person. It is not your business to deliver the flowers to the right person. But it is courteous to let the florist know about the mistake.
Reply:call her and tell her you got the flowers but its too far for you to drive but you wanted her to know someone did send flowers

Ordering flowers from ftd.?

ok i want to surprise somebody by sending her pink roses. but i want it to be a mystery and not have my name or address on it to say who ordered..

and i was just wondering if once they are delivered, will they attach my address and visa name account all on the delivery flowers for her to see?

Ordering flowers from ftd.?
Nope, it will include a note, to which you can say whatever you want. Any account information is only made available to the account holder (you).
Reply:No, not if you don't want them to.
Reply:nope, I sent my mom some flowers for easter, she had not idea!!
Reply:That depends on the florist and the state where they are located.

In the State of NY, sending an anonymous gift can be a basis for "Stalking in the fourth degree." A retailer who knowingly delivers an anonymous gift could also be held liable.

Therefore, our store policy is that 1) we would honor your request of wanting to remain anonymous, but 2) IF she asked, we would tell the name.

We generally discourage our customer to send his gift anonymously. From a recipient perspective, an anonymous gift could be seen more annoying (or even threatening) rather than mysterious.
Reply:No, not if you don't want them to.

Ladies, why would you say this to your ex boyfriend when he brings you really nice flowers?

I am working my butt off and trying to make amends with my ex. I brought her some really nice flowers...$100 worth if that makes a difference. Anyway, I delivered them to her business. She was not there but her assistant was and took them (and said "very nice, you've done good"). So the next day my ex calls and says thanks and that she wishes I would have called ahead of time (in a stern tone). Why would she say this? She wasn't even there so she did not have to see me...it worked out well. Thoughts?

Ladies, why would you say this to your ex boyfriend when he brings you really nice flowers?
I'm not gonna say give up. I went through the same thing with my wife. She got tired of being just a mother and just a wife. So her answer was to eliminate me from the equation, but she wasn't sold on the idea of divorce. So I had over $100 of lowers and gift basket delivered to her work. Well that didn't work to patch things up. She actually laughed at me for doing it. Things eventually worked themselves out. We are currently coming up on the anniversary of the day she left... Valentines Day. She swears this one will be differant. Hopefully
Reply:Sending flowers to someone's work causes a lot of problems--many nosy, annoying questions from coworkers. It also looks like you are showing off to her coworkers or trying to make her feel guilty for dumping you. So, in the future, send them to her home.

I would not apologize though, it was a gesture of love on your part to send them. She'll get over the work thing.

Have you considered asking her out for coffee or lunch (not drinks or dinner yet). If she says no to that, you're the ex and you need to move on to someone else now, and make the break, bro.
Reply:because maybe she was with a guy and if u would have said something sooner maybe thing would be different
Reply:she's not interested. You're an EX and how her entire office thinks you're back in her life.
Reply:She doesn't want to get back together with you. You are harrassing her and she's not appreciating it. Had you called ahead she probably would have told you not to come since she wasn't going to be at work. Try leaving her alone.
Reply:An "ex" is an "ex" for a reason. The reason(s) haven't gone away so you are supposed to. Please cooperate.
Reply:She doesn't want you intruding unannounced at her work.
Reply:she doesnt care. regardless of the flowers, sounds like the girl has moved on or is seriously thinking about it. usually women that still have strong ties will be at least a little appreciative of the gesture. however, she didnt even say thank you. i would not be surprised if this does not budge her in any way.

but realize that your efforts were good.
Reply:Because the relationship is OVER and she is trying to move on.

Valentines Day gift to be delivered to boyfriend's office?

Hello. I'm looking for ideas on what to have delivered to my boyfriend's office on Valentines Day. I think flowers are too predictable. What would be something cool to send? It's a place of business so I can't do singing telegram, stripper or anything like that. I want it to be cute ,fun, special, whatever. Maybe have lunch catered in for him. Any other ideas?? Thanks!

Valentines Day gift to be delivered to boyfriend's office?
I ordered pizza for the whole office for my hubby once, I checked with his boss first who loved it, and with the pizza was a card from me saying I loved him and since he was my hero, now he could feed the office and be their hero for a day too.

He wasn't embarassed, everyone enjoyed it and he was happy.

Reply:YES VERY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Try sending a card or money but not flowers unless ur gay or a bi-sexual!
Reply:Great answer. If I were him, I would want you to apologize face to face. I know it's hard- but that's why it means more.

If you want to bring a gift, consider something he might like. If he likes candy or something like that, you could wrap it and bring it with you.

Just don't forget the main event: you.
Reply:Gay??? Maybe not gay, but definately not a great idea. Guys will razz the sh!t outta him and he will be even more p!ssed in the end. Try sending him a candygram or cookie basket. That might be okay. Or you could show up at his house with a six pack and a pizza and apologize your a$$ off... That would probably be the best idea...
Reply:It's not gay. Why don't you just go to his house and apologize to him then? The best thing is to tell him you're sorry face to face.

Has 1800 Flowers ever screwed up your Valentine's Day??

Yeah ok -- so get this -- both my bf and i buy gifts for each other from 1800-Flowers, advertised here on Yahoo. We both place our orders to be delivered yesterday in aticipation that it would be very busy today.

Not only did neither one of us get them yesterday do to some poor excuses, but it is 6:15 pm PST time in CAlifornnia and we both still do not have them and are needing to go to dinner soon which means that we probably will not get them today.

Now not only is the surprise gone, but while everyone else has their gift, our wellplanned ones on our part, never made it. Thank you 1800-Flowers

Has 1800 Flowers ever screwed up your Valentine's Day??
No but I have never used them and this will probably make me think twice about using them in the future. Thanks for the warning.
Reply:So sorry. That SUCKS.
Reply:No, I have never tried 1800 Flowers. I usually order from Pro Flowers, and everything so far has always been delivered on time. Sorry to hear about that though, happy V-day anyways.

Mother's Day flowers didn't arrive.?

I wired flowers to my 89 year old mother, for mother's day, to be delivered yesterday (Sat), to CA. (I'm in Idaho.) She was home all day, in and out, checking for them. They never arrived. I called the florist this morning and they checked on it, called back, and said they were delivered at 7:55 last night. What can I do? $50.00 for flowers that never arrived. It's their word against ours. The lady I talked to said they have no guarantee, like if someone in the neighborhood stole them or something. Do I have any recourse?

Mother's Day flowers didn't arrive.?
Don't you have to sign for things like that? Who signed for the flowers when they were delivered?

You may have recourse there.

Tipping question...........Is it proper to tip delivery people that deliver gift baskets and or flowers to you

when you are on vacation , or otherwise ?

Tipping question...........Is it proper to tip delivery people that deliver gift baskets and or flowers to you
I would say yes, if you have a few dollars on you. Since most gift baskets and flowers are usually a surprise, I've been caught several times without cash, when the flowers were delivered. It's a little embarrassing, but I'm pretty sure I'm not the only person this has happened to, so I'm also pretty sure the delivery person doesn't expect a tip from every basket or bouquet they deliver.
Reply:most definitely. anyone in hospitality or delivery should be compensated for their work in a tip!
Reply:Yes! Give them a couple dollars! Poor things!
Reply:Absolutely.!!

The delivery folks are not well paid. A bit of extra would be welcome, I am sure!
Reply:At least offer it. Some are not allowed to accept it, and others have the tip taken care of in the purchase price. (It'll be up to the delivery person whether or not to accept it.)
Reply:Yes I think that it is expected to tip them. Their salaries are small taking into consideration that they would be tipped.

Mother's day flowers?

Me and my sister want to buy some flowers for our mom on mother's day and have them delivered to her. I can't find any websites that sell the sort of flowers I'm looking for. My mom likes geraniums, pansies, petunias, gladiolas, lilies, and some others I can't remember. Any websites where I can find these flowers?

Reply:Hi there, you could find a wide range of flowers on here: http://www.arenaflowers.com/internationa...

Hope it helps!
Reply:I know of these two sites:

deLaFlowers ( http://tonefish.com/delaflowers ): A very wide variety of flowers, mainly roses. I also saw some lily bouquets. Prices range from $19.99 to over $100. Make sure you use coupon code mom15 during checkout to get 15% off!

Grower Flowers ( http://tonefish.com/growerflowers ): Not as much variety as deLaFlowers and a little more pricey, but the price includes a vase and a personalised greeting card with your own photo. Couldn't find any of the flower sorts you mentioned though :(

Recommendations for Silk Flowers For My Wedding?

I am really giving some thought to having silk flowers for my wedding for a number of reasons...it's an outdoor summer wedding so real flowers will lilt AND attract bees PLUS...I am allergic to fresh flowers. I'm just worried about them looking tacky...

I've come across a few wesbites where the silk flowers are really pretty, but I'm worried that when they're delivered, they're going to look cheap.

So, can any brides / brides to be recommend a place or website where you got your silk flowers? I'm looking for people who have used silk flowers and like them so much, they'd want to refer this bride to be! I'd really appreciate it. Thanks!

Recommendations for Silk Flowers For My Wedding?
Personally, I can recommend fake flowers. You can keep them forever, you don't have to worry about them being fresh, picking them up on the wedding day or being affected by heat/bees or you suffering allergies.

I bought my wedding flowers off Ebay. They are white roses, baby pink frangipanis in a tear drop bouquet, with five matching bridemaids bouqets.

When they were delivered they were so pretty! They look absolutely real, and were so professionally done. I would recommend not to buy really 'cheap' packages, I spent a 'medium' amount but the quality is amazing.

Check the seller's feedback before buying, but my flowers were just amazing.

Good luck

xx
Reply:I had a lady at my church do my flowers, and I think she just picked them up from a craft store.
Reply:Some of the prettiest flowers I've seen have come from Michaels.

To keep them from looking "fake", spray them with hairspray.

Good luck :)
Reply:Well, I didn't purchase mine online %26amp; I wouldn't recommend it. I'm using real flowers for my wedding but in the beginning, I had intended to use artificial. I bought some gorgeous orchids at Michael's. Don't know where you're located but I would go to the craft store first. There's a big range of prices %26amp; the more you spend, the better they look. I've seen some that were really cheap %26amp; had strings hanging off, and then online they were selling the exact same flowers for the same price, and they looked perfect in the pictures, which they definitely are not.
Reply:I agree with the Hobby Lobby recommendations. Beautiful. The flowers are expensive, but I hear the stores often have huge sales.

Don't discount Wal-mart. The Teters flowers that Wal-mart carries are great; they are high-quality silks, just about as good as those found at Hobby Lobby but a bit cheaper on a day-to-day basis. You just have to be sure to be in the right section; Wal-mart also carries silks of much lower quality.

Good luck.
Reply:Hobby Lobby have some really good things. They also have a designer..we used silks. You might be able to add some fresh filler to yours to add to the look.If not it will be fine..
Reply:I wouldn't go with many of the fake flowers you can find in hooby shops and $2 stores as the quality just isn't there and they really can look fake.

Ask some of the florists around you if they do false flowers and you will be surprised when you find them. I have fake flowers in my house that i have had people ask what variety of rose they were because they had no smell at all. Nobody notices there is no water in the vase!

If you are in australia i can reccomend a fabulous silk flower lady who is not very expensive but her work is amazing. I can also point you to a few websites but once again they are in Australia.

I'd ask around at a few florists near you to see what's available in your area otherwise send me and email and i'll give you the contact for my flower lady. I don't know if she ships overseas (never had to ask) but she might be able to help you out.
Reply:Michael's, Hobby Lobby, or any other craft store. I'm not much for ordering things online for events. I'd rather know what I'm getting.
Reply:I would be hesitant about ordering them. I like to see first hand what I am getting. Here's a thought--contact a florist about renting silk arrangements. I know that a few years back it was possible and maybe still is. Good luck.

I want to find an online florist that delivers and i want the flowers to be under $20. where do i go?

I'd try www.1800flowers.com; however, I really don't think that other than a sympathy bouquet on clearance that you are going to get anything delivered for under $20. I have used this site many times and what they do is cooperate with a local florist and charge approximately $10 to deliver. You should probably just go to a local florist.

Flowers or no?

Ok so this chick and i have been out 3 times...talk alot online and on teh phone...should i go ahead and get her flowers for valentines day, and if so should i have them delivered or deliver myself?

Flowers or no?
I think you should deliver them yourself. I have an idea that might be very romantic, buy a bouquet 11 roses and ask her to ask to face a mirror and say "if you look in the mirror, you'll find the 12th one" meaning her lol..someone did that to me and my heart jumped out of my chest, it was very sweet
Reply:that would be very sweet of you..ofcourse you should give it to her....she will feel more special...and you could add on to that some chocolate candy..and the cutest thing is give her a card and write something sweet in it in your own words..!
Reply:Yeah u should have some flowers delivered.

I sent my Crush Flowers on Valentine's day?

I send my crush flowers on valentine days before i order and make it delivered before left the country for work.... She received it (100% as i got the acknowledgement) but when i return.. She did not mention anything about the flowers.

Btw i had express my interest to her before that..:)

What does this means? Is she shy about it? We are asian?

I sent my Crush Flowers on Valentine's day?
she might be, did you make sure she knew they were from you??
Reply:Yeah she is probably astonished and shy about it and it has nothing to do with u two being asians ! Its very sweet of you on what u did for her on Valentines Day!All is good no worries!
Reply:Ask her if she got them, but be prepared to face that she simply may not be that into you.
Reply:She should have at least said thank you. Maybe she just doesn't feel the same way and doesn't know how to tell you.
Reply:maybe she wants you to be agressive and follow up, as we all know, asians are more passive when it comes to dating, I'm asian, but I see alot of asians being passive and not following through and being agressive at the right time

Sending online flowers..serious question!?

ok im sending some roses to a very special girl. but i want it to be a surprise, like a mystery for her till i tell her it was from me. this is my first time sending flowers,

and i was just wondering if once they are delivered, will they attach my address and visa name account all on the delivery flowers for her to see?

Sending online flowers..serious question!?
If you order online, they will include a packing slip most likely. That would have your info on it. But, if you call her local florist, you can do it anonymously.
Reply:yes,definitely....u try email her...and tell her that she is gonna get somthing....today...or tell her on YMes....or call...her...she would be surprised to see them
Reply:As a florist, I can tell you that many of us are very wary of sending anonymous gift. Most of states now have what is called "anti-stalking law" including our state, NY.

Sending a flower to someone, whether it's anonymous or not, can be threatening to a certain recipient, depending on the circumstances. Most responsible florists would refuse to lend a helping hand to someone whose gift is not appreciated by the recipient. Most of us have this kind of experience from time to time.

Now, if the person who orders flowers asks to remain anonymous, it raises... well... a yellow flag. It depends on each florist to deal with the situation. The difficulty is that it all depends on the actual relationship between the sender and recipient, which the florist has no information of. So we tend to play safe.

If a florist knows you personally, then it should be OK. But if you place an order with one of the online "florists" (who by the way are just sales agents, not florists), then the actual florist who delivers your flowers don't know you. They might refuse to deliver, in which case your order won't go anywhere.
Reply:no you can ask the flower company for it to be anonymous and she would have no clue and its would be a fantastic surprise!
Reply:Ok are you slow? go to a flower shop in person, pay in cash... wow, never ever commit a crime......
Reply:no they wont... call and check too

What is a good gift to have delivered to a guy at work for valentine's day?

now i am not made of money but the idea of flowers or candy seemed a little hokey to have delivered to a guy.

What is a good gift to have delivered to a guy at work for valentine's day?
What about something like a "meals on wheels" kind of deal and have his favorite food delivered for lunch?
Reply:uhhhh....nothing. Guys don't need a gift at work.

If you want to do something, have a card there when he gets there or at his house when he comes home.

But if you insist, then you should show up in person and go out to lunch.
Reply:well if he is just a guy that your friends with then send him a kissagram. He would love it, or someone who sings to him. But if he's your boyfriend or someone close, send him a special voucher which will entitle him to a whole night with you, e.g dinner, a movie and whatever else you want. he'll spend all day at work thinking about it and will rush out of work . haha
Reply:Food. Dear god dont send him flowers to work..
Reply:Call a florist and ask them. They have all kinds of ideas. A coffee mug with candy in it tied to a balloon.
Reply:The lunch idea is good. Don't send him flowers. He might be embarrassed.
Reply:IF YOUR GOING TO SEND HIM SOMETHING AT WORK MAKE IT A STRIP-O-GRAM. IF IT EMBARRASSES HIM AT LEAST EVERYONE ELSE WILL GET A LAUGH OUT OF IT AND IT WOULD BE PRICELESS. HIS FRIENDS WOULD THINK YOU WERE THE COOLEST GIRL FRIEND, FRIEND, WIFE, ETC.
Reply:You popping out of a cake!! ;-)

What is a good replacement for flowers to send to a guy on his bday?

I want to make my fiance feel special on his bday/our anniversary the way flowers make a girl feel special when they're delivered to her. The only thing I can come up with is chocolate-covered fruit but he doesn't really like chocolate-covered anything. Any other suggestions? I want to be able to call this in and have it delivered to his office.

What is a good replacement for flowers to send to a guy on his bday?
i dont think u can really do that for a guy...
Reply:We men are easy, just give him a card while he's at work and give him his real present when you two settle in for the night, catch my drift?
Reply:Insted of Roses on his piano, how about two lips on his organ.
Reply:if he has a sense of humor, a singing telegram
Reply:balloon will beembarrassing enough, maybe a letter from you with, well, whatever ou choose to put in that letter...

they also sell fruit arrangement w.o the choc.
Reply:Hey! Do you know making anything with your own hands? Okay, if not then simply get a nice wrist watch for him and put a message tag like this: I will always have time for you.

I woul love a hand-made gift if you were going to send it to me. Haha!!!
Reply:You can get the eatable fruit arrangements.
Reply:Oh man, this works really well! Get him a candy bar bouquet!! These are sooo cool, and they can cost about as much as a bouquet of roses! He can show it off at work or at home, and the best part... he can eat it instead of watching the flowers rot.

:)
Reply:ok send him some tickets to a concert or something but if uu cant afford that send him ... idk guys dont like much but cars and sex ... lets see here... ... ... i know send him a real nice watch cant go wrong with a good watch (not mechanical get the old regular type)
Reply:i don't think that there is anything quite like flowers, but..... maybe..... a really nice card or something, and hey, maybe you could just send him some flowers, guys aren't as sentimental as girls anyway.
Reply:so that he doesnt 4get to use them 4 ur safety, box of condoms
Reply:I sent my boyfriend a cookie bouquet for Valentine's Day and he loved it. (It ended up arriving the day before, which was even more of a surprise.)

I got mine from http://www.cookiesbydesign.com and he was quite pleased with it (although I thought the cookies didn't taste very good, lol -- I'm sort of a cookie connossieur though). If you do a web search for cookie bouquets, you'll find many other providers to try.
Reply:They now make "cookie bouquets" It looks like it would be a flower arrangement, but it is made out of cookies. Really cute, and good!
Reply:For Valentine's Day, I asked all my guy friends what men really want.

"You really wanna know?"

"Other than a good lay."

"Can't really think of anything else."

Try something that involves him coming home to you wearing an apron and heels. Position yourself in the bedroom, on your knees at the front door or draped over the dinning room table.

That'll work.

What can I get delivered to my boyfriends work??

I want something to get delivered to his work. He always sends me flowers at work but this year he can't because I happened to be off. I dont want to send him flowers, He would say he liked them but would probably be embarressed. I really want to send him something. I've heard of Snack Food baskets, Pajamas, Fruit Bouquets I tried searching them on the internet and couldn't find anything. If it helps I'm in the Maryland, United States area.

What can I get delivered to my boyfriends work??
I know you said you don't want to send him flowers, but 1800 flowers has flower arrangements that are made for men. One comes in a beer mug, one in a margarita glass, and there were a couple of others. My bf likes truffles, so I sent him a box of candy.

I hate trying to get him something every VDay... it's not a men's holiday! It's too difficult! I should get jewelry and that should be it :-) I love him dearly, but men are impossible to shop for to begin with, let alone for romantic things.

Happy VDay!
Reply:They had a really cool beer mug floral arrangement! Report It

Reply:I know something that he'll love.....You! If you know when his lunch hour is why don't you go see him and surprise him and take him out to lunch-the two of you. You can already have arrangements at the restaurant or bistro so it won't take that long to seat and serve you. Maybe you'd even be able to pre-order what you'd want. If not go on a quick picnic in a park nearby or something. It'll be sweet. Hope you find something.
Reply:CUPCAKES!
Reply:Hmmm...

How about having an e- gift certificate sent to his work email from LOBSTER GRAM! They will deliver a set of live lobsters or steaks, whenever you like, so you can have a wonderful romantic dinner. Order what you want and have the e-gift certificate sent to his work email address. You can cash it in and have the dinner later on. The email will be in time for V-Day and he will be thrilled! Most guys prefer meat over chocolate.

My boyfriend loved this.
