Should I go ahead and spend extra to have flowers delivered on Mother's Day, or wait and buy a nice gift and give it to her later when we see her, either the following week or the week after?
I invited her to brunch- no. I invited her to a play- no. I invited her to visit (no answer) and I said we'd visit in 2 weeks.
So... flowers or wait?
Mom's Day- which is better?
I would send her flowers, because then she won't be sitting there on mother's day feeling unloved. Even if you gave her a gift later, it wouldn't be the same as having something right on the day.
Reply:You get an A for Effort. You have invited her, and she won't come, so you can't feel bad about her "no plans" guilt trip, lol. Report It

Which would make you happier?
Flowers delivered to you at work/school?
A gift delivered to your home from the Louis Vuitton store?
Ben and Jerry's delivery man coming up the sidewalk with a dolly full load of ice cream?
Which would make you happier?
Flowers or vegan ice cream =)
Reply:definitely the gift
Reply:flowers @ work
so sweet...
plus making coworkers jealous is always fun :D
Reply:A vegan meal made especially for me. Flowers die and ice cream melts too quickly.
Reply:my prince makes me happier..... my saviour king, knowing he lavishes his love on me .............. then last but not least a gift delivered to my home from loius vuitton or any shopping store........
Reply:Flowers delivered
Reply:ben and jerry's !!! yay yum

Reply:Louis Vuitton because I'd sell it and buy another Chanel purse :)
Reply:Flowers would be nice!
Reply:Flowers delivered at work. It's nice to get flowers at home but it's better at work where everyone can see and be jealous. If it's my favorite flower = big bonus points!!!
Reply:flowers
Reply:flowers delivered to my work, that will make me happy!!!
Reply:Flowers, I'm a hopeless romantic. The cheaper the better-- I know, sorta weird( I mean, what girls doesnt' want big, fancy flowers?!) but to me it's just sweeter that way. (n_n) A nice card with them would be good too, but I'd settle for a secret admirer!

Reply:ice cream definitely
Reply:OOOOooo... it's a tie between the flowers and the ice cream. The problem would be that I do not have the facilities to store all that ice cream all at once, but the flowers are much easier to accomodate.
Everyone is entitled to my opinion.
Reply:Why flowers? they'll die
Why eat? it's all going down the toilet anyways.
Gifts? totally.
Or maybe a kiss. I could use one. who wouldn't
Reply:Wow all of those would be amazing, I wish my boyfriend would even think to do one of those.
Depends, if she's into the fancy clothes/money stuff, then do the Louis Vuitton.
But if she's more into the simple things, do ice cream or flowers
Reply:Actually, how about a small trunk from Louid Vuitton half filled with flowers and the Ben %26amp; Jerry ice cream packed in dry ice in the other half?!
Reply:All of the above would make me happiest but I haven't had ice cream in like a year or two or three so that would be sorta cool except I might become addicted again and have to spend months at B%26amp;J anonymous. (that sounds almost odd)
:-)
Peace y'all

What do YOU want for v-day? (guys really!)?
I need a good gift for my bf for valentines. I was thinking an Edible Arrangement delivered (hes at school. im home) or maybe even a bouquet of balloons. Would that be stupid for a guy to get? I dont want to do the whole picture frame thing etc...Hes getting flowers delivered most likely, so i need something to match that. We're only 19, so nothing rediculous! haha Any suggestions as to what i can possibly buy him would be AWESOME. he's not into sports!
Thanks guys!
What do YOU want for v-day? (guys really!)?
im also 19 and i honestly would not care what my gf got me (but i really dont like it when people give me materialistic things) so i would be over the moon if she just got me a rose and spent the day with me
anything simple that shows your affection would go down very well i imagine

Forget the foo foo stuff, he'll do that for u, get him something that he'll have and think of u for a long time to come, my #1 suggestion for a lad of 19 would be CDs...hmmm..his favorite of course, but if your stuck I would suggest these bands as a start: FLAW, Disturbed, Static-X, Rob Zombie, MTVs Headbangers Ball, Soundtracks Queen of the Damned or XXX, or go with a good DVD. As far as the edible arrangement I am sure you are the only "food" he'll want on his plate.

What would be more romantic?
My gfs birthday is this saturday. Im at college at few hours away so she doesnt think ill be around this weekend.. I was going to drive home friday. Should I show up and surprise her saturday morning with flowers as shes waking up. Or should I show up and surprise her friday night spend the night with her and have the flowers delivered to her that saturday morning?
What would be more romantic?
on friday night when she is coming home come up behind her and hug her
just don't be sneaky and scare her
(girls can kick hard when they're scared)

Advice pleeeeeease!!!!?
my boyfriend of 7 months broke up w. me because he couldn't take our busy schedules anymore...i work all day %26amp; go to school at night %26amp; he works on the weekends. after 2 weeks he calls me %26amp; tells me that he misses me %26amp; loves me %26amp; that he made a huge mistake by letting me go. this didnt phase me %26amp; i told him that saying it would not make me believe it anymore because i believed him when he said that he didnt want to be with me. i told him that he needed to prove to me that he wanted me back. i got home from work last night %26amp; there were flowers delivered to my house that said "i love you so much %26amp; i am ready and willing to prove this to you now. i love you endlessly -ben". i thought it was sweet but i knew that i needed more than just a sorry and flowers for my heart to settle. he asked me to take work off tomorrow because he has some suprises for me. i love him but i want to be positive he loves me.
do you think he's sorry %26amp; that he truly knows he wants to be with me?
Advice pleeeeeease!!!!?
No, I don't think he truly knows he wants to be with you. From the looks of it you are almost 20 and he is probably about the same age. I think you have a lot of looking and maturing to do before you find someone that is mature enough for you. Also, think about this: After a break-up it is very typical for the pair to miss each other, that is human nature, and it is o.k. But what has changed in your lives that will make the relationship work now when it didn't before? Do you still work all day and go to school at night? Does he still work on the weekends? If all of this is the same, then taking him back will bring you right back into the same situation after the good-feelings you get from being back together settle down. It is o.k. to not cling to anyone too tightly until you get married! Just move on, no hard feelings.

Reply:I think he probably is sorry....looks like he decided 2 break up with u because he felt it was the best thing to do at the time and now he regrets his action....i'll let u know what makes me think so: i have this really good friend, a guy who had a relationship with one of my best girlfriends. They were together for about two years and even applied to the same university just to be together; suddenly he broke up with her....he probably felt 'tired' of the relationship....a few days later, he called me for advice and kept calling to talk with me.(They moved 2 a different country for uni so u can imagine how much he was spending on phone bills)....neway, he called saying he regreted breaking up with her, he missed her, he couln't eat or sleep...etc. i then adviced him to tell her how he felt (i would have told her about his calls and all but i did not want to get directly involved or betray his confidence)...so about 2 weeks after their breakup, he planned a surprise dinner in a fancy place to appologise and ask her to be his girl - again. she said no. now i know my girl and i know she was still madly in love with him, but like you, she wasn't positive and she believed him when he said he did not want to be with her anymore. She ended up getting hurt because she lost him and she did not save the relationship when she had the chance.
Think about it. if u're not 'positive' but u're still in love with him, why not take a chance and follow your heart?....it's better trying and taking the risk now than wondering what would have been.
Good luck......hope i helped you!!!

Reply:If he really loved you in the first place, he would have accepted your schedule and been cooking dinner or cleaning while you weren't home. Being supportive is a sign of loving someone. This picking up the peices crap is just that. He did you a favor and now its your turn to take time for yourself and ask if you even want another possible nightmare scenerio with someone else while your schedule is crazy. But as for this guy who after 7 months wants back, well he had 7 months to prove that he accepted your schedule. and to show that his feelings for you could withstand anything. Obviously, it wasn't. Should Valentine's Day be moved to the weekend?
With people, most especially men, are working more hours than ever to make ends meet, they are simply too tired to plan anything special on a week night. According to the Census Bureau, men put in 45-48 hours a week, compared to an average 35 hours a week for women. Since Valentine’s Day is primarily a day where men are expected to put out that little extra for the love in their lives, it would be much easier for them to do so on Saturday. In this way, they will be rested up and better prepared for the day. Instead of paying the extra cost of having flowers delivered, they can deliver it, and all the other expected gifts, themselves.
As a cab driver, I’ve noted from the decreasing number of people who are getting out doing anything when Valentine’s Day is on a work night. A Saturday would work so much better. So, what do you think?
Should Valentine's Day be moved to the weekend?
The 14th of February falls on a different day depending on the year. It changes every year.
Next year (2009) the 14th falls on a Friday.
In (2010)it falls on a Sunday.
I know a lot of couples who do not necessarily go out on this date (they exchange gifts). They wait until the weekend to go out to dinner or have a "special date".
It's a TRADITION having it on the 14th. It would kind of be like moving Halloween to a weekend because the 31st is often during the week.
Reply:i have to celebrate mine tomorrow because my bf had wrestling finals all weekend.
i think weekends would be much better =]
Reply:I think men should just ask their partners if they could move the celebration to Saturday. Any woman who wouldn't find this to be a perfectly acceptable solution to the problem is probably not worth dating or marrying in the first place.
Reply:good idea! Then we could all party on valentine's night! :)
Reply:No.
Wednesday works well. It allows couples to spread the thoughts over two weekends.
If a couple has a hard time agreeing on which day to celebrate their affections for each other, then there quite likely more important problems are boiling below the surface. In an ideal relationship one should be able to express their love no matter how tired or short on time they may have.
Reply:Personally I'd to change Dec 25th Christmas to Friday or Sat. I'd also like to do the same for New Years Eve.
It's really hard to have activities on Christmas all day and then have to go to work in the morning.
Also, Halloween should be on Friday or Sat. Kids could then stay out all night and not have to worry about having to go to school in the morning.
These are all holidays on certain days and that is not going to change.
Reply:NO!
Reply:It should have been moved on Friday. It would've been better on a friday and I furthermore agree with you.
Reply:No, it should be celebrated on February 14, like it has been for many many years.
Reply:Good idea, but as we are lazy then we are going to end up moving her birthday and then the anniversary and in the end, we will say lets celebrate all the days on 25th dec.
Reply:Good idea :P
Reply:I agree because I was exhausted when I got home from work yesturday! It would make it easier on those of us who do work a lot. Atleast on a Saturday or a Sunday I would have been able to atleast cook instead of ordering in and I could have stopped by the flower shop to pick up roses, (delivery wouldn't have worked out yesturday). I think we should start taking signatures to get this day moved!
Reply:No....I dont think so.

I miss my boyfriend so much....?
we dating for about 10 months. We were fighting cus we both have alot of stress in our lives...and because of the 18 yrs age diff we both decided to go our separate ways. we work together, and we have been talking at work. He comes by my desk to ask me how my day is going and vice versa. I had flowers delivered to my desk from my best friend and he even asked who the flowers were from. I am DYING to email him and tell him I miss him , but i'm afraid of rejection and how I would feel if he told me he doesnt want me back. I think it speaks volumes that we are still talking and smiling at eachother at work...I dont know how to read this.... I'm heart broken...dont know whether to let it go or not.
I miss my boyfriend so much....?
My best advice is to talk to him. Yes you are setting yourself up for potential rejection but there is also the potential to get the one you care about back. You'll never know unless you speak up. It would be worse going on not knowing then knowing the truth whatever it may be. You never know, he may be feeling the same way, and is scared to talk to you....
Reply:Let it go. He probl. wants one or two more sessions between the sheets or on top of the desk. Don't do it and move on.
But when you do give in, fax me the copy of your butt that prints out while he has his way with you in the copy room.....lol

Who does't like Valentine's Day Gifts?
I had flowers delivered to my wifes work. I bought (4) cards to give my wife. (1) from our (3) kids and (3) from me. She leaves for work @ 4am so I placed one by her purse after she went to sleep so she would get it in the morning. I placed a card that plays music in her car so she would see it on the way to work. She called me a few time during the day and treated me like a jerk on the phone even though I did not do anything to her. The last phone she bitched at me for buying her flowers. At this point I hung up on her. The kids gave her their card after I got home from work. And I was no longer in the romantic Valentines Day mode to give her the third. I also made a slide show of pictures of us together over the years accompanied by our wedding song. I received thanks for the first card and that was it. I did not realize my wife had become such a heartless *****!
Who does't like Valentine's Day Gifts?
my guess is that she's angry about something else and taking it out on you. Ask her what's wrong. Let her know your feelings were hurt but AFTER you find out what's eating her.
Reply:even if she had a bad day she should have been thoughtful
Reply:Poor guy!
I feel bad for you....
I know I would be happy to get flowers. My ex was about the most selfish, unromantic guy on earth, I never got diddly-squat for Valentine's. You sound like a sweetie, maybe she'll realize that before her attitude drives you away completely.
Reply:It really does sound like there might be something else wrong here, is she stressed? You say she leaves for work at 4.00 am so perhaps she is worn out or simply feels that you guys don't have enough time together.....anyway obviously this is all just guess work, can you try and talk to her calmly about this....remember calmly though, no shouting or making her feel bad, I know this must have hurt after all the effort but she won't talk if you make her feel guilty !! Good Luck
Reply:Usually when a person blows up over something that isn't really rational then they are stressed and still upset about something else that remains unresolved and is causing them duress. Are you having financial issues? Maybe she thought it was a waste of money. Really do some searching and thinking to try and determine what she was actually angry over. No matter the reason for her blow up, she should have handled it differently. Maybe you can tell her how much it upset you. I hope that you all can figure out a way to talk nicely to each other. It's important not only for the health of your relationship, but also for your children's health. They deserve to see a more loving example. Good luck, I hope she works things out nicely.
Reply:Wow ... that is really sweet of you. I can understand why you would not be in the Valentines day mode any longer after her being that way. Sorry to hear that you VD didn't go so well. You never said but did you give her the video? That would have made my heart fill with joy if my husband had done that for me, not complaining my husband gave me a day to mysfl coupon and flowers, and beautiful card with loving words that he wrote himself. He made me amazingly happy and I gave him "you know what" *wink-wink* which he was way happy with. Hope today is better for you. Good luck.
Reply:Awww, that sucks. I would have never done you like. Just the fact you took the time to buy that stuff and put together that slide show for her is sweet. She is ungrateful. I hope your wife doesn't always act like...if so, thats sad.
Reply:You made a slide show of pictures along with your wedding song??
OMG
Reply:You should talk to her about it. Sounds like it's something else that's bothering her. I loved everyone of my presents and the flowers he sent me where my favorite cause they were pink and the card blew me away...I cried.
Reply:Now, this take may have nothing to do with your case. That said, here goes:
Sounds like your wife reacted the way a woman reacts to a man who sees v-day as one day of atonement for 364 of neglect. Especially if money is tight.
Are you doing your share of housework and childcare? Do you put the toilet seat down? Treat her with respect? Satisfy her physical needs even when you're not in a romantic mood?
If everything truly is in order, then she's stressed about something big and if you're a loving husband you'll try to give her the safe space she needs to open up about it.
Reply:WOW... I would have been amazed at the one card.... let alone three AND flowers?! She needs a wake up call.... My husband didn't get me anything, but there isn't a complaint there... I came home to a clean house, rearranged office and living room and he got off the computer, enjoyed a movie with me after the kids went to bed and then well... the rest was our marital fun....
All I can say is SHE NEEDS A WAKE UP CALL. Most guys don't do squat... And she got all that?! Sounds to me like next year, I would just tell her Happy Valentine's Day... and leave it at that... She sounds very ungrateful for what should have been a wonderful day.

I don't think V day should be put on the calendar...?
Everyday should be Valentine's day...its not necessary to buy roses, jewelry and whatever else material things that is used as a symbol of an affection. ppl say love can't be bought...well believe that thousands of peole , especially men buy rose or a box of cnady for their (suppos) sweethearts only to keep them quiet. I just saw an executive(probably president or vp) of a company rush out of the CVS store with a bunch or roses, I mean someone like him, we'd expect him to go to a flower boutique store or have the flowers delivered. V does spread some love...but a lot of hostility, envy, and depresstion. bc not all pple have the funds to buy nice gifts or they'll buy an expensive jewelry just to keep up with the jones next door. I'm not tryin to sound like a scrooge but i just like an old fashion love.....
I don't think V day should be put on the calendar...?
So what is your question. You don't care for Valentines day, got it. However, there are hundreds if not thousands of men and women who are not told I Love you every day by their partners. So one day a year to be showered with love and attention isn't such a bad thing. Some men and women for that matter forget their anniversary's but it is hard to forget Valentines day with Red/Pink everywhere. Leave the day alone it is harmless. Besides I like my home made valentines from my boys. They are as special to me as the butterflys they make for me at school.
Reply:then don't buy any one any thing for v-day. there's no law saying you have to. i know my hubby will come home with some thing. it will not be some thing that cost very much money but he will show me he thought of me today. i went and bought some steaks and shrimp to cook out on the grill. it did not cost much money but it is his favorite meal. it shows i thought about him today. i think you are making way to much out of this. i bet Christmas really sets you off.
Reply:I would say that is true for the most part. What is V day really for? We should be show our love to our spouse, kids pretty much everyday. What if we actually DID this ona regular basis instead of using V day once a year to do it? I think people's lives would be more happy and content.
I think it was Saint Valentine who started this holiday, although I'm not sure what he did exactly to get it started. Maybe it was in truly in the name of love and just turned into a holiday I suppose.

Wedding Day gift ideas?
I need to get my wife-to-be a gift on our wedding day on Saturday. Ive already explored having flowers delivered and she will be leaving to early for the flowers to get there. Anyone have any other ideas??
Wedding Day gift ideas?
- Diamond tennis bracelet
- Earrings, diamond studs
- a card with a hand written note
- a special photo in a pretty frame with a note attached
- BE ROMANTIC, it's her Wedding day!!!
Get your Father in Law (to be) to deliver, or one of your Ushers, she'll be pleasently surprised, have them take them to the Salon/spa to be delivered, if she's there so early.
Reply:A spa %26amp; restaurant gift card. She probably wants to relax after the wedding! Maybe also include something that will last, like a piece of jewelry.
Reply:You should definitley get her a card and write a special message in it. One of those new singing cards at Hallmark might be fun.
I also think that Willow Tree figurines or boxes have a nice sentiments. They usually cost about $25-$30. You can also buy them at Hallmark. Here are some suggestions below:

Jewelry is also always a good idea but can be pricey. You could get her a sterling silver charm bracelet with a ring charm or wedding cake charm, and then give her a new charm on every anniversary. That would be sweet.
Here is a site that has the bracelet, and cute charms.

Does he know he screwed up or is he just really good at faking sorry?
my boyfriend of 7 months broke up w. me because he couldn't take our busy schedules anymore...i work all day %26amp; go to school at night %26amp; he works on the weekends. after 2 weeks he calls me %26amp; tells me that he misses me %26amp; loves me %26amp; that he made a huge mistake by letting me go. this didnt phase me %26amp; i told him that saying it would not make me believe it anymore because i believed him when he said that he didnt want to be with me. i told him that he needed to prove to me that he wanted me back. i got home from work last night %26amp; there were flowers delivered to my house that said "i love you so much %26amp; i am ready and willing to prove this to you now. i love you endlessly -ben". i thought it was sweet but i knew that i needed more than just a sorry and flowers for my heart to settle. he asked me to take work off tomorrow because he has some suprises for me. i love him but i want to be positive he loves me.
do you think he's sorry %26amp; that he truly knows he wants to be with me?
Does he know he screwed up or is he just really good at faking sorry?
Dump him. He cant commit.
Reply:you both need time to assess the problem that caused him to decide as he did. do you want to solve it? do your solutions match his? start over and take it slow with him, you need to get to know each other again.
Reply:I think he really means it. Sometimes it takes someone to lose someone they love before they actually know that they need them and want them in their life. I think you should give him another chance. I just hear him out before you go off and make a decision.
Reply:It sounds like he does really love you, maybe he was just stressed out from not being able to see you as much as he wanted and broke it off making a real irrational decision.
Reply:first of all, the flowers thing-- that's a good sign! i say that because flowers are not cheap, especially a boquet(sp?) of them, no matter what type of flower(s) it consists of. i really think he's trying.
i think when you see these surprises though, then you'll have your answer. maybe you should give it one more chance and see where it leads. if he goes back to his old ways, then YOU break it off. don't put up with it anymore-- it's not worth it. it only brings you down.
i'm sure things will be great though-- just have a NEUTRAL feeling about the whole thing, but have expectations for what surprises he may have for you, and if he meets those-- or is d*mn close-- take him back. notice the little things though (i know us girls are good @ that anyways.) see if he had little things in your surprises that would have taken him a lot of effort that's a good sign, because he thinks your worth it. and if it even costed SOME money-- that's another sign!! lmao!!
i think you should really give him a second chance and see where it goes. i hope this helped you! good luck sweetie!!
Reply:Also, if your asking this question to begin with. Its already over, it will always be in the back of your mind. Besides guys repeat things like this. So beware.

Is this weird?
I have a really good male friend of four years. And he lives in Ohio and Im in Georgia. I recently went and saw him for a week. lets say it is now going to another level. And i would do anything to be with him.. He kinda got mad at me for something silly. But I was kinda thinking about getting a thing of flowers delivered to him "just because" something like that...does a man like getting flowers or would he think that was gay..what would be other suggestions he is kinda far away to do anything else any suggestions
Is this weird?
Well.. Flowers are for some guys.. but my hubby doesn't particularly like them.. (just his way I guess)
But he does love junkfood...a surprise pizza delivery for lunch...
If you want to send flowers, there is a really neat chain called Candy Bouquet.. they can make the candies look like a vase of flowers.. but they are edible..
Now THAT my hubby WOULD like.. even if he doesn't particularly like flowers.
Reply:if you know the guy well enough, i think you know the answer to your question. it's not so much about liking the flowers (and i LOVE 'em!) but about knowing that someone cared, someone was thinking of me, someone loves me (or likes you a lot) and wanted me to know it. STILL smiling days later!
when you are so far away, i realize there is only so much that you can do: it can be kind of paralyzing. no, be assured that the flowers will be a wonderful gesture.
if you absolutely absolutely DON'T want to go the floral route, you could also try... free movie passes with the stipulation that they're for the next time you visit, a gift card from a local restaurant or store, certainly candy, a cd or book you two might have talked about, or a picture of you (or the two of you together if you took any while you were there) nicely mounted.
hope you get to still the "next level" and everything turns out okay!
Reply:I dont see anything wrong with that, maybe he thought it was manly enough to be sent flowers, after all its tradionally something that a woman receives, next time try sending a cd or a card
Reply:Flowers are definitely not just a woman thing.. Alot of men enjoy the beauty of nature. I have sent flowers to men before and they truly thought they were nice.
Reply:There is nothing wrong with getting a guy flowers. Just keep in ind that we have this thing about certain colors. Just try to pick a masculine color or colors and i'm sure that he will appreciate them.
Just out of spite, what part of Ga are you from?
Reply:Some guys would like it But!!!! alot will not.. Why not something like a cookie bouquet. They make them with mens designs.Depending on your friend if you dont know if it will embarrass him or not. I would not.Till you know for sure.
Reply:Finally a gal who gets it. Some guys really do like to get flowers and I am one of them. Its one of those "We always get you flowers so why dont you get us some?" things. Now that being said he may not like flowers. Some girls dont like flowers either. But since you are not sure if he does or not I think you should send some with a nice note. He will appreciate it alot. We like surprises just like the ladies do.
Reply:No i think that is a nice idea...blokes like to be surprised too and there is nothing gay about sending floweres!!
Reply:alot of guys would like the flowers or something small just showing that your thinking about them and care flowers or candies or something small is good to send
Reply:I've sent flowers to my man before. He was actually very touched by my thougtfulness.

Females only please, too fast or good idea?
I am about to go on my 4th date with this girl, we have already slept together and we have both established that we like each other. I even had flowers delivered to her work. I was going to go to her house tonight and bring a picnic basket and fill it with a blanket, a bottle of wine and glasses, flowers, candles, and a funny movie and just have a nice relaxing evening together. I was just going to put the blanket on the floor and set up her room really romantically. Is this to fast for me to be setting up candles and bringing wine and flowers to her house? I don't want to seem like I am moving to fast or being to forward, but I really like this girl (alot). What do you ladies think? Any suggestions or ideas awould be very appreciated!

aww that is so romantic. you are a keeper!!! she is very lucky!!!
Reply:If you dont feel comfortable, wait. but if it seems she is, DO HER!!!!
Reply:These are your early days - you can be as romantic and fun as possible. As long as you don't forget later down the road to continue those trends every once in a while.

Reply:No I think it's safe to say you already did the fast thing...so yeah it would be a really nice sentimate to go along with your plans, and by doing so you seem interested in her and not just in sex.
Reply:Dan you got my vote.. just do it...

I need ladies opinions for valentines?
My friend is still in High School but she is kind of shy and I really don't think she would want flowers delivered to her at school. Expecially since we arn't dating and people would ask who are they from and what not.. If I don't have them delivered to her school i'll hand deliver them to her tonight after I get off work. I do like her as more than a friend though just the opportunity hasn't arrived yet for me to make the move. What would be my best choice? Hand delivery or Surprise @ school?
I need ladies opinions for valentines?
I would say hand deliver. More personal. Plus like you said, if she gets them at school, its going to cause questions that she might not want to answer. Plus if you deliver them youself, maybe you could say how you feel and ask her out. Good luck matey!
Reply:try these cute vases and put seeds inside for tulips. then when the spring comes plant them. when they grow up cut them and put them in the vases. makes a really nice gift thats not too expensive.
plus it shows you plan on sticking it through for the long haul. very romantic. goodluck.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...
Reply:I think a hand delivery would be best, specially if she's shy.
Reply:Surprises are more fun. Than still go see her after work and bring her one extra flower. It sounds sweet.
Reply:How old are you that you are thinking about suprising someone is high school? I would suprise her at home, if her parents permit.
Reply:That's a tough call... usually women do like the attention of getting flowers at work/school, but if she's shy it could embarass her. I think later is safest...
Ah, I'm not sure... good luck with whatever you decide.
Reply:School. Its a better surprise. She'll be thrilled.

Reply:I say take them to her yourself. Use this chance to tell her how you really feel. Suck it up there is no better day then valentine's day to tell someone how you really feel. If she is like most women she is prob. spending the day wishing that she had someone in her life that she cared for enough to be in a relationship with! Good Luck.

I need ladies opinions for valentines?
I would say hand deliver. More personal. Plus like you said, if she gets them at school, its going to cause questions that she might not want to answer. Plus if you deliver them youself, maybe you could say how you feel and ask her out. Good luck matey!
Reply:try these cute vases and put seeds inside for tulips. then when the spring comes plant them. when they grow up cut them and put them in the vases. makes a really nice gift thats not too expensive.
plus it shows you plan on sticking it through for the long haul. very romantic. goodluck.

Help me girls!?
About a month ago, my boyfriend [of a year and half] broke up with me. He was cheating on me. He's called me alot. He tried making plans about two weeks ago, and I was really sweet about it and said "oh..I'm really sorry, but I have plans. Maybe another time?" then a week ago he came over, so we were sitting in my kitchen just talking. Before he came he called me, so I ordered a bunch of flowers delivered from the flower shop on my corner with a little note on it to be delivered.
That came, and I was really casual about it. He was like "who sent you those?" and I just said "a friend". I know i shouldn't be messing with him like that, but I'm just about done having my fun. He hurt me alot..But the main question is, monday night me and him are going to the same party. It's casual, about 30 people at a restaraunt. I don't want him back, I just want to piss him off for cheating on me..and want me back. What should I wear? How should I do my makeup, etc.? Thanks girls :]
Help me girls!?
Kudos to you for the flower thing!! just dont overdo it, he'll know somethings up. As far as the whole dress thing, wear something that says you are single and out to have fun. Make sure your make-up makes your skin glow. Look better than you ever did with him. Hes an idiot for cheating on you. I wish you the best of luck!!

Present for a friend?
I'm friends with this girl who i hoped something more would happen with but since she had a boyfriend, i kept it to myself. Anyhow as a group of friends were all buying presnts for each other mostly little stuff but this friend pointed out in a conversation once that her boyfriend would never buy her flowers (not the nicest guy in the world) so i planned on getting her some flowers delivered near christmas but was just wondering if its too much or not?
I figured you know avoid anything overly romantic (e.g. red roses) but just get her some nice flowers and put something on the card like 'every girl should get flowers now and again.'
So any ideas?
Present for a friend?
awww...i totally think if you think shes worth it, you should do it. Just done continually do stuff like that cuz she will think your a stalker. GOOD LUCK!
Reply:Ummmm i dont think thats very smart unless u want conflicts... it cute but itll get you in trouble! well at least dont say every girl should get flowers.. say like to a special freind!
Reply:If that where me i would love it
Reply:I do not think you should send flowers, unless you want to start some serious problems between her %26amp; her boyfriend. How do you know that he's not the nicest guy in the world? If he is abusive you will definitely cause harm to her. Just remain a good friend and she may one day realize that the guy she is with is rally not the one for her. If you are all swapping gifts, give her a couple of movie tickets, that way
she can decide who to take, you or him..
Reply:I think you should go for it. Too many people play it safe when it comes to dating. Yeah shes dating another guy but if you go that extra mile something tells me she won't be with "not nice guy" anymore. She will def take notice. And if nothing happens at least you were true to your self and your feelings.
P.S. To avoid a major fight. Just give them to her yourself. I would advise against having them delivered.

Big dilemma!!! what is a girl to do!! I am very shy!!?
I live in an efficiency and I think my roomate likes me!! Well he is like my landlord. But he is always giving me these signals. Answering my door %26amp; he has no shirt on. Going out of his way to say hello 2 me. Being overly nice, bringing my mail 2 me. My b-day was on Feb 14th. My sister had some flowers delivered 2 me. The delivery guy put the flowers on the porch. I was the only one home @ the time. I didn't bother them bcuz I wasn't sure who they belonged 2 %26amp; I didn't see the delivery guy when he came . So later on that day I come home from work and someone is knocking on my door. It is my other roomate who I never talk 2. He is the brother of my landlord but he has never come 2 my door all of this time and we don't talk @ all. He is @ my door with the flowers in his hand and says " I think a guy gave these flowers 2 you". I as like " Oh! They are so pretty! Maybe my father gave them 2 me!!" And yet he is standing there waiting for something. Wat is going on and wat 2 do ppl!!
Big dilemma!!! what is a girl to do!! I am very shy!!?
This is tough since you live with him (or by him). If you go out and ask him if he likes you and he says no then it will be very awkward from then on. Maybe ask him if he would like to go get coffee or a drink some time and do not make the first move. If he likes you, you will find out by spending time with him.
Reply:I think he wanted a tip..LOL u cheapskate...
Reply:I think you are making too much out of it. Maybe he's just nice. Or maybe you just want to read more into things. How old are you?

Help a Disabled Guy put his heart on the line -Buying Flowers ( Help)?
I am a tiny bit interested in a girl that cuts my hair. I am a disabled guy (cerebral palsy) that happens to be shy when it comes to the ladies. However, this girl has a very caliming personality and seems to have an open mind. If I was going to buy her flowers, a belated Valentine's Day gift, what kind would you recommend? I do not want any red or pink roses in the bundle. Do you know of any good companies that are reasonable in price and deliver. I live in the great state Michigan.
Thanks,
Mike

Ideas on how/where to order birthday gifts to be delivered?
i want to get my friend a strawberry cheesecake but i dont know who to order it from that delivers... and how do i know if its gonna get there in one piece or even taste good?
OR
maybe sending a gift box of decorated cookies would be a better idea?
i dont want to embarrass him at work with flowers and balloons so im leaning more towards food for him.
can u help with ideas on WHO to order from or ANY OTHER suggestions other than cheesecake or cookies?
(he lives in arkansas and i live in houston)
Ideas on how/where to order birthday gifts to be delivered?
Check on Amazon.com. You wouldn't believe the stuff they have now. A man I know just had a case of Hamburger Helper delivered to his younger brother (don't ask).
Reply:look up local caterers in his area, also try to find some bakeries online. If they have a decent website, look it over, give them a call if you have any questions. If they seem to know what theyre talking about and can deliver, I say go for it. It may be slightly difficult to find out whether the food will be good or not, but if theyre an established company, chances are they know what they are doing any your present should be well received!
Reply:here are a couple sites that you can order from.
http://www.cookiesandcrumbs.com/
http://www.cookiepots.com/Birthday.htm
http://www.cookiesbydesign.com/
Reply:Try Figi's. I order from there and I've never had a problem
Reply:I like to shop on eBay for unique things just have them ship it to him. You can e-mail back and forth so you could even get them to wrap it.
Reply:There are bakeries in Arkansas that you could call to place your order, that way the gift isn't going to be shipped, only delivered across town. I'd suggest some kind of coffee cake or strudel, unless he's really big on cheesecake. A strudel has less chance of looking like it has been demolished if the trip goes bad. :)

What are the best websites for ordering plants and flowers?
I have searched for and found several online nursery websites that sell bulbs and perennials but I want to be sure my plants and flowers are healthy when they arrive at my home. Any recommendations or experiences (good or bad) would help me find a nursery that I can trust to deliver the best so I can plant them with confidence in my own garden! - - Anyone??? - -
What are the best websites for ordering plants and flowers?
http://michiganbulb.com/Default.asp?
This is the place I like.
They have a lot of variations that I have not found anywhere else.
They guarantee their products for life (the plants) and always run specials so can getsome excellent flowers (bulbs or growing) for pretty cheap.
good Luck!
Reply:I'm a big fan of the Burpee Seed Company - www. burpee.com.
Reply:It is best to use a nursery that is in your own Gardening Zone, that way you know the plants have adapted to your area, or a zone north of you, making the plants even hardier.
It also makes a difference if your looking for seeds, perrenials, trees etc. most nurseries specialize, ask your local gardening friends who they prefer, also visit your local farmers market or some of the plant exchanges in your area.
Reply:I like burpee.com
Reply:www.ebay.com or www.thegardencorner.com
Reply:Burpee then all the others as required for specialties, and no the y aren't paying me...yet
Reply:I get my seeds from www.reneesgarden.com.....they used to be a part of White Flower Farms which provide the healthiest and best plants from perennials, shrubs, etc. For roses and other things you can always trust Jackson and Perkins....(both White Flower and J%26amp;P are on line). I have never found anyone I trust with bulbs...I do better at a local big nursery. (If I am looking to use big volumes for naturalizing and not using hybrids, try Michigan Bulb Co.) Good luck

Does anyone know where I can find the love story where a husband continues to send flowers after his death?
A few years ago I received a forwarded e-mail. It was about a widow who started receiving flowers after her husbands death. He paid in advance for the florist to deliver them every year until it came to the point that she no longer answered the door.
Does anyone know where I can find the love story where a husband continues to send flowers after his death?

How do i send someone flowers at work?
i want to send my mom some flowers at work, but ive never done it before...do i need a credit card? do i give them the address and they deliver it? and how much mondey does it usually cost? thanks guys!
How do i send someone flowers at work?
1-800-flowers makes it really easy and i personally like their prices. You can actually get free shipping if you go to this site: http://clipurl.com/?IOM219
Reply:Go to flowers.com. Give them your mom's work address to deliver the flowers to. Yes, you will need a credit card.
Reply:well call a company and pay over the phone and get them delivered
Reply:You can go to the florist a couple of days before you need the flowers and pay in cash if you don't have a credit card. Pick out flowers that fit your budget, give them your mom's name and address where she works. They will take care of the rest.
Reply:25-50 dollars go to a florist they can do it all there or yes it would take credit cards or checks, go to them pay in cash and you want have all the interest added on.
Reply:You can use someone local in your area that has a good reputation or you can use 1-800 flowers or FTD or Pro Flowers. You can do a search on the internet. Usually if you order before 2:00 they can deliver them on the same day.
They will need a credit or debit card number unless you go to your local florist and pay in cash before the delivery. The prices range anywhere from $40 to over $100 depending on what you want to send.
You just give them your mom's name, address at work and phone number and they will deliver them. You need to also give them a contact number for you in case they have trouble finding your mom.
Reply:Call a florist in your area. You can go down and pay with cash or check. But if you do have a credit card, go to flower.com
Reply:It sounds like you really love your mon. THIS IS WONDERFUL Use good old hard cash and send an note with the flowers. The note will do two things. First it will tell your mon how you really feel about her. Second the people around your mon will see this love an will know first off that your mon is someone special to you.
Send a big card with big letters that says MON I LOVE YOU, YOUR THE BEST. sign the card is a way that will show that love.
Reply:You will need a credit card and the price can vary, but I'm sure you will find something nice that fits your price range.
What a lovely idea!
Reply:dont send someone flowers at work, work is for work, period.
its highly unproffesional were im from.srry
Reply:Grab a phone book and look up florist's. As for paying for them cash or charge, if your doing it over the phone then yea it will have to be charge or debit card, cash will obviously have to be paid for in person at the flower store prior to delivery. Depends on what you want to send and for what occasion. I done this a few times and ranged between $25 to $80.
Reply:If you don't have a credit card, you can go to a florist and pay cash. You will need to tell them where to deliver them. Usually it costs $5 to $30 delivery, over and above the cost of the flowers
Reply:What you should first do is get a phonebook and call some local flower shops and find out if they deliver. A lot of them do. Most of the time when I do it over the phone they allow me to pay with my card but it bothers me because they don't ask for i.d. or anything you know :P
Aside from that though, if you feel more comfortable, go to the actual flower shop so you can pick what you like. Usually you just give them the address and of course name and its no problem. They would just go to your mama's job and ask for her :)
good luck
most of the time by the way, they don't charge for delivery, that's from my experience, it may depend on where you go and of course what bouquet you choose

I want to send flowers or sweets to my cousin in manchester MO63088!?
I want to send sweets and flowers to my cousin in manchester MO63088 usa. which is the best website which promptly delivers on 29th july which is their wedding anniversary. pl help me with reliable info.
I want to send flowers or sweets to my cousin in manchester MO63088!?
what can be done is go to a local florist or candy/cookie bouqet and pick out what you like and they will normally handle contacting a florist that they have heard of or used before in the area you are wanting. there will usually be a small fee for them doing it but it is worth your time not to have to locate one on your own.

Can I bring flowers to a funeral, or do they have to be sent ahead of time?
I am attending a funeral of a neighbor who passed away recently. The funeral is in a very small coastal town, and there are no local florists. It would be very expensive to have them sent. In the obituary it says "friends and family may bring flowers or, flowers can be sent to"...(home address of the brother). Do you think that means bring them to the brother's home, or bring them with you to the funeral? If I hand deliver them to the brother's home, should I do so the evening before the funeral? If i bring them to to funeral, should I show up early so that they can be placed near the casket?
Can I bring flowers to a funeral, or do they have to be sent ahead of time?
Not sure why this is in law and ethics instead of etiquette. Legally anyone of the options you offered would be LEGAL. And I suspect from and etiquette standpoint any one would be ok too.
Reply:Usually this means to have the flowers delivered by the florist in which you are using to make the arrangement. Otherwise, I would either call the person it states to send them to and ask what should be done. If all else fails, bring them to the brothers house before the funeral...usually the flowers are set next to and around the casket at the wake and/or funeral so youd want them to be there before either of those you were getting them for.
Reply:When my grandmother passed away some people sent flowers to the funeral home and some people brought them with them then on the day of the funeral all of the flowers were put into the hearse the ones that were in vases the director gave to my parents to take home. I wouldn't take flowers over to there house the night before because they probably are going to have alot of things to do and it is a very emotional time when there is a death in the family. Also depending on the size of family might have a lot of family over.

Funeral- to send flowers or not to send?
Sending flowers to family of a special acquaintance who was a patient of mine. It's just from me...what's appropriate to send, $20, $30, $40 plant?
I don't want to be too over the top, because I knew her just professionally, but I know you often don't get much flowers for the money. If it's too small, it'll stand out like a sore thumb amongst the larger arrangements. I feel I should send something, but not sure.
Then I find out the area florists don't deliver on Sundays. Maybe just going to the visitation and contribution to her selected church to will be enough?
Funeral- to send flowers or not to send?
ya i think that a visitation and contribution should be enough. your support in their time of need will be enough in my opinion
Reply:I think your presence, a sympathy card will be greatly appreciated.
Reply:It's a funeral, people going there will not be thinking about who sent the best flowers. The family will remember your gesture even if you send small flowers. It's a small token to say, " I'm sorry for your loss". Send something.
Reply:If she was Jewish, you don't send flowers.
Otherwise, unless you are a poverty stricken student you should spend $40-60.
You should also go to the visitation, staying just long enough to express your condolences to her parents and/or husband.
And signing the book.
Reply:Just get a nice flower arrangement and take it with you, They'll think it's nice no matter how much you spend, even if it's a dollar. Just the thought counts. And if you don't get flowers, they probably won't care either if you just show up.
Reply:I'd donate to their specified charity if there is one. Usually the family gets flowers for significant relatives. (spouse, children, grandchildren, siblings, sometimes nephews/nieces if they were close)
Reply:Spend what you can afford, there is probably a delivery fee too, so take that into consideration. Your $20.00 plant could end up costing $40.00 or more. Why not just go and pay your respects, that is what is all about. I'm sorry for your loss.
Reply:20 is fine, just be sure 2 send something.
Reply:20 bucks is fine. its the thought that counts. there gunna die anyways
Reply:don't send flowers make a dontation instead
Reply:send the flowers {$40}
Reply:A $20 dollar plant seems appropriate.
Reply:Any amount you send would be appropriate. But if you need an amount, I would say $30. They will just be glad that you cared. Nice gesture!
Reply:i think you should send a flower...20 flower would be fine...you want them to know that you care..you dont have to send a lot..
Reply:I personally hate the idea of flowers for a funeral "gift"
They are beautiful but then they die.
No one needs to be reminded of their loss
Reply:If you look up funeral arrangements online, they range from about $40-$200 depending on what you want. I would definitely go for the lower end because you don't want to show up any of the family members but still can show your respect.
Reply:whatever you feel is right. if anyone else has a problem with that then they have 2 choices.......get over it or not. do not base your decision on what someone else will think.
Reply:i'd go midrange $30
Reply:Send flowers to show you care. The family will be happy to know people care!
Reply:contribution should always go to the family sense it may be a hardship on them if the person did not have a planed Funeral already payed for so it always to give a card with a check in it then they can decide what they want the check to go for .
but for flowers i would do a 30.00 it realy don't matter what and how much you spend it the thought that counted . Also i would have pulled your workers who know her and ask for donations for her family unless they are doing something has well .
Reply:Probably 20 dollars
Reply:You only need to send what you can afford. the family is not going to be going from arrangement to arrangement tearing them apart for how cheap or expensive they were
Reply:$20 dollar they will still love them.
i dont think they will care what price you paid for them
Reply:just take a sympathy card and a Small contribution to her church
Reply:I would think any size would be appreciated. It is the thought that counts. The last thing they will think is "couldn't she have afforded a bigger bunch??"

Has Anyone Ever Purchased Flowers Using Lane Bryant Companies Credit Cards?
Every time I've used their service (which is really Telaflora) they mess up the order. I ordered flowers for my sister for two days before Christmas, and it took them 1 1/2 days to deliver them, even though I called in the morning to order. Then they were crummy looking. When I called to complain, they gave me the standard "We'll take your complaint and see what can be done" which I've always found to be is nothing, the girl told me that florists pay T.F. to be first in line for referrals. The florist they sent my order to was 14 miles from my sisters house, where as she has two florists who deal in T.F. in her town! Today was the last straw. I called in some flowers for my daughter's birthday and the florist called me to say they didn't have that arrangement, and then confided in me that the 60.00 I paid to T.F. is only paying for a 34.00 arrangement! But, on the T.F. web page, they showed I purchased one for 45.00. RIP OFF. I'm not using them again, and am telling Lane Brynt

Are you supposed to tip a flower delivery guy? How much?
You can if you want to. Sure he or she will appreciate it since they mostly make close to minimum wages. But you don't have to since the cost of delivery is figured in on the bill.
Reply:Anyone that does a service for you.you should give them a little something, out of thankfulness and appreciation.

Should I give her the flowers ... or not?
Yesterday I ordered flowers from a local shop and was planning to pick them up today and hand delivering them to a girl that I have been hanging out with here and there for the last few months. She knows that I'm interested in her.
Anyway she was gone the whole week on a business trip and just got in last night. Before I could get to ask her to go to dinner with me tonight she fell asleep. I asked her in email (she is at work) if she wants to have dinner tonight and she said she has Acting Class tonight (not a college/univ class).
Well I'm kind of bummed. I'm not sure what to do with the flowers. I don't want to go there and see her, give her the flowers and not plan anything.
So should I just throw them away or leave them at the door and just leave?
Valentine's day is like 'damned if you do, damned if you don't.'
Should I give her the flowers ... or not?
Give her the flowers with a "maybe next time" note.
Good luck!
Reply:Seeing that she couldn't go to dinner with you, i'm sure she would love it if you gave her flowers.

yes i would say about two to three dollars a delievery also many pepole such as this do not get a large hourly salary yet more so they get mostly tips most delivery types in this situation are retired individulals looking to supplement there income so good luck on this issue
Reply:I have never tipped a floral delivery person, although I think it would be appropriate to do so. Just a small tip, like you might give the pizza delivery guy would work. Now I feel bad, never tipping. It's not like I get flowers delivered often, though. Sometimes they are delivered to my workplace, and I am not there to recieve them, the receptionist does. She doesn't tip on my behalf, I'm pretty sure!

Are you supposed to tip the flower delivery guy? How much?
yes i would say about two to three dollars a delievery also many pepole such as this do not get a large hourly salary yet more so they get mostly tips most delivery types in this situation are retired individulals looking to supplement there income so good luck on this issue
Reply:I usually do, but I know some people don't like to. I usually give 2 or 3 dollars
Reply:Remember tipng is always optional, Although, I would give a couple of dollars.
Reply:No, he gets paid for delivering them.
Reply:Hell no! You don't tip someone for bringing you flowers!
You get a gift and you're supposed to tip the deliverer? I don't think so.
Reply:You should....amount depends on the flowers......lol.
Reply:No way!!

Cake and flower delivery?
I'm having an outdoor ceremony at 5:00pm and reception following....any ideas of what time I should have the cake and flowers delivered?
Cake and flower delivery?
Cake delivery should take place by 4pm while your caterer is there to help coordinate where placement should be. It should arrive earlier if the cake needs to be put together or finishing touched done on location.
Flowers should be delivered in the late morning/early afternoon. This way the staff has time to set flowers for the ceremony %26amp; get bouquets and the like to the bridal party. Then flowers for the reception can be put in a cool place until the catering staff is ready to set the tables. All flowers should be out no later than 4pm for the ceremony %26amp; 4:30 for the reception.
Reply:Cake 2pm that way even if they're late you still have enough time to set things up. Flowers if they have alot do set up then morning is better.
Reply:When are the guests due to arrive? Around 4:30?
I would have the flowers there around 3:30 and the cake, depending on the weather, delivered around 4:30. You're going to want to put some to work on putting it together and keeping it cool. Also, do you have a wedding coordinator or anyone who can keep things in order for you?
Reply:id say cake maybe 4:30, flowers 4. you dont want anything to melt or wilt... but you also want some wiggle room if the company is a little late. lots of prep time=happy wedding
congrats too, btw :o)
Reply:If the ceremony begins at 5, then guests will probably start getting there around 430 ... you will need the flowers for pictures which would probably be around 230 or so. Your location should have a place to keep the cake so it doesn't have to sit outside. If they cake gets there at 330 that would be perfect. The location will probably need an hour or so to set up so you need to make sure everything is there for them when they begin.
Reply:couple hours before hand just put the cake in a cool place till its needed and for the flowers keep cool also until needed
Reply:Depending on the amount of flowers I would go any sooner than an hour before your ceremony or they can wilt, I would maybe even wait on the cake up unitl 15 minutes before so the icing don't melt.
Reply:LOL. It has been my experience that the vendors tell you what time they can deliver. They may ask when your venue will be available or open to them, but they usually have their own timetable going (and other customers waiting for their services).
I would ask . . . not tell them. For example, "My wedding venue is available to us at 3:00 pm. The wedding starts at 5. What time will you be able to deliver the cake?"
Always be very nice and very polite to your vendors, LOL.
Good luck to you. Hope you have a beautiful wedding.
Reply:About 1:00....so you can be prepared in case something goes wrong, but keep both cake and flowers in a cool place, ask the people who you buy the from this question.
Reply:If it's still hot then I wouldn't have the cake delivered too early or the icing might melt. Can you see the reception area from where the cermony will be held? I'd have the cake delivered as close to the last minute as possible. Maybe 4:15 - 4:30. Talk to your cake decorator and see what she thinks. I used to decorate cakes but I don't really know about flowers. All I can recommend is to talk to your florist.
Reply:you probably shouldn't have the cake delivered until like 7 or 8 so that it doesn't melt sitting outside for hours before you make it. the table can be set up and decorated and the cake can be brought in while everyone is eating dinner.
Reply:Flowers and cake at 4:00
Reply:I say cake at 3:00 and flowers at 2:00. Only because if something is wrong or you are missing a flower piece, it can be corrected in time and you won't have to stress out that you are missing a bridesmaid bouquet or your groom's flower. Plus, you always want to tell vendors earlier than you need so if they get stuck in traffic or something.
Make sure you can keep the cake and flowers refrigerated.
Unless you got a fondant cake - then you don't need to keep it cold.
Good luck !
Reply:If you are getting it delivered have it earlier while you are having your ceremony, just in case a lot of stuff could happen so its better to be safe than sorry. have one of your relatives pick up the flowers. .
Reply:Are you getting pics taken before the wedding? I would say between 2-3 for the flowers and the cake around 4 (so that the icing doesn't melt/sag in the heat).
Reply:an hour before starting

What do you think happened...I received flowers. Is this a joke?
Literally, 5 minutes ago (before I typed this question) a guy came to my house with a big bouquet of flowers. When I opened the door, he smiled, placed the flowers on the steps, and walked away without saying a word. I was really confused... The flowers had nothing written on them. (There was no card). I was wondering if the guy was delivering them to me from someone else. (Maybe that was his job.) But if he was delivering them, wouldn't he ask me to sign something....or some companies have you pay for the delivery, right? The guy left in such a hurry, that I barely got a glimpse of his face. He was probably young; (looked around my age, maybe older.) If the flowers were for me, then I don't know why. I don't even know who gave them to me! The flowers are absolutely beautiful, but I wish I could tell someone "thank you". My brother said it could have been a weak prank. Do you think this is true? I don't think it was a secret admirer because I haven't been seeing anybody...
What do you think happened...I received flowers. Is this a joke?
IF i EVER PLAYED A PRANK OR SOMETHING i WON'T WASTE MONEY ON ANY OF IT.MAYBE HE BLUSHED AND DIDN'T WANT YOU TO KNOW HE HAD A CRUSH ON U.( HAVE YOU SEEN HIM B4)?...SO WHY DON'T YOU THINK ITS A SECRET ADMIRER? AND YOUR BROTHER MIGHT BE BEING MEAN TO YOU BY TELLING YOU THAT IT MAYBE A PRANK.AND JUST MAKING YOU FEEL BAD..
Reply:Oh so that guy dropped the card and even forgot to take your signature !! These online flower suppliers are never going to improve. I can't trust them any more.
That bouquet was sent by me... believe me it wasn't a prank.
But I'll be hurt if you say, "Thank you" etc.
Remember? No "Sorry " %26amp; "Thank you" amongst friends !!
Reply:Have you upset anybody in the last few days,as the guy left them in a hurry on the steps it could be meant as a wreath for death.(As in drop dead)
Just a thought ?
Reply:personally, I think it's love... but he must have been too shy to say anything. Keep an eye out for him.

Fuzzy yellow flower with fuzzy red stem?
We got some flowers delivered and there is a fuzzy yellow flower with a fuzzy red stem. It has small pods that open up looking like a six pointed star. We have never seen it before and are wondering what it is.

Question about flower deliveries?
My fiancee is student teaching at a high school right now. I wanna have flowers delivered to her on Valentine's Day, but I know that schools can be strict when it comes to deliveries for security reasons. Would it be tasteful for me to send these flowers to her (have them dropped off at the office and then they call her to come get them) or should I just wait until she gets home to give them to her?
Question about flower deliveries?
you are sweet, why dont you just take them yourself.. be very early get there before she comes and there you are standing holding the flowers, she will melt
Reply:If you send them to the school they will call her down and all the folks in the office and anyone coming in will see the flowers (roses?) Then not only she, but all the folks she works with will also know what a wonderful thoughtful man you are! I would love it!!
Reply:Wait until she comes home if you think it would be a problem.
Reply:You can always call the school and ask what the policy is on flower deliveries, I doubt you'd have a problem.

What colour of flower should i give the girl that's really special to me?
i am planning to have the flowers delivered to her workplace,,but i am not sure what flower and what colour to get. i know different flowers and colours mean something. she's not my girlfriend but we have this somewhat 'mutual understanding' that we like each other. so what do u think i should get her?
she works as a hostess at a restaurant in a hotel so is it appropriate to send her flowers during work?
any help would be greatly appreciated
thanks! =)
What colour of flower should i give the girl that's really special to me?
orchids, purple one. screw the rose, everyone gets roses
Reply:yellow are friendship and pink usually means you're her secret admirer while red means love. Maybe get her a mix with all three of these colors.
Reply:If she's really special to you, surely you've noticed her telling you what her favorite color or flower is. Also, if you're not fighting, woman love getting flowers, especially at work. Try something not too fancy, you don't want to scare her off.
Reply:dont just get one type of flower, and make sure its not roses! Roses are too out played, their yesterdays news. Go to FTD.com and you'll see some amazing ideas for any type of feelings you have. Tiger lilies are awesome!
Reply:i would send her either white roses or her favorite flower in her favorite color
Reply:i say pinkish orange really pretty and really traditional never give a girl a yellow rose unless shes sick or hurt lol well good luck
Reply:White or pink roses or a combo of them both would be great...Do not do red yet..........If you are sending them to her work, Don't cheap out and get carnations or anything, The other woman can be very catty and opinionated so go with the roses, just not red...................
Reply:send red long stem roses. they are beautiful. and yes, you can send them to her work place. she will love them. she will get a lot of attention from her co-workers.....she willl probably like that too. dont forget the card with a nice message.
Reply:Red is for love. Pink is for like. Yellow is for friendship. I wouldn't send them to her work. Flowers and food don't always go together plus they would be in the way and get dumped over. Send them to her home or better yet bring them to her. Nothing is more romantic than a man bearing flowers.
Reply:pink is the color meaning affection. heck, any color would be great! sending flowers is a very sweet gesture :)
Reply:Pink or Yellow.
Reply:You should send her whatever type of flower most reminds you of her. Look at different ones, and see if there is a specific type or a few different flowers that really just seem her.
Reply:Theres an unique rose, its purple and it smells like lemons....
or find out her favourite colour.

Reply:hen giving cut roses as Valentine gifts, we adhere to a time-honored formula that takes into account rose color meanings. The formula matches a rose's color to its intended meaning as a gift. Valentine's Day is primarily a lovers' holiday, and red roses are traditionally for lovers. "Valentine roses" and "red roses" go hand in hand, even though other colors have their place on the holiday. Our close family members may also be treated to red roses for Valentine's Day, but we avoid giving roses of this color to friends on Valentine's Day -- that would simply convey the wrong meaning. The following are the meanings traditionally attached to the most popular roses, according to colors; use this list as a guide when selecting Valentine roses:
Red roses mean romantic love; they're the "Valentine roses," par excellence.
Purple, coral and orange challenge red as the color for Valentine roses.
The rose color meanings for these 3 are as follows:
The specific purpose of purple roses is to signify that the giver has fallen in love with the recipient at first sight.
Meanwhile, coral and orange roses signal desire.
The meaning of yellow roses is joy and friendship.
We express our gratitude and appreciation with pink roses....
While feelings of admiration and sympathy find words with roses that are light pink in color.
Peach is more ambiguous, as it can signify either sympathy or gratitude.
Their purity naturally enough lends to white roses the meaning of reverence and humility.
I recommend http://www.2flowers.com/ to send her beauty red roses.
Reply:Roses are more for the "I love you" deal....
How about soemthing pink....I think that color means "I like you alot."

Is there a flower shop that can deliver to your door and you can pay at the door?
Im 14 and me and my sister (11) are looking for flowers for our mom on mothers day. On the internet we have to use credit cards and since were not old enough we dont have cards yet....and we can't go out to get flowers without blowing the cover. ( We want to suprise our mom ) I'm looking for a place that delivers flowers to our front door and we just pay with cash. Any recomendations? thanks :D
Is there a flower shop that can deliver to your door and you can pay at the door?
I suggest that you select a flower shop near where you live and either phone them or walk to their office. If you phone them, ask them if they can comply with your request. If you can walk there, you can pay to have the flowers delivered.
Reply:if you have relatives such as uncles, aunts, call them to help you suprise your Mom and you will pay cash to them later

If you either deliver things to homes or have them delivered?
(such as pizza, flowers, FedEx, or anything!), do you 1) come on to the person delivering? or 2) get come-ons from the people you deliver to? How do you handle the situation?
If you either deliver things to homes or have them delivered?
I get hit on a lot when I deliver pizza's... I just kind of laugh in an thankful manner... one time I dropped the money and turned around to pick it up... and this lady said, "omg wow"... I looked back really quick and notice her smiling at me... I felt a little embarassed...lol.
Sometimes they invite me back after work... I say, "I can't against company policy"... even though other drivers do.
Reply:I delivered two kids. Does that count? Not the type of come on situation you are talking about tho:) In fact I don't think the doctor would come on to anyone in that (postion) LOL
Reply:no come ons here at all
Reply:No, I don't do or have had either. I have been blessed that I have had all repectable delivery people. If it did happen, I would report them to the company in which they work for.
Reply:I've actually had a few pizza delivery girls come-on to me. Might have taken them up on it if I'd been looking at the time.
