What type of flowers would be appropriate to deliver to the spouse of a retiring military member?

I am in charge of planning a retirement ceremony for several Air Force NCOs with 20+ years.

What type of flowers would be appropriate to deliver to the spouse of a retiring military member?
Roses are always appropriate. Red ones are traditional, but they represent love. Yellow ones are for friendship. White means purity. But I don't think anyone pays attention to the color meanings anymore. Red roses are always safe. Or you can get a really nice mixed bouquet of seasonal flowers. For that, you can ask the florist for a recommendation based on your budget.
Reply:Roses can be misinterpreted and therefore offensive. Seasonal flowers have the advantage of being exactly that seasonal - there is no hidden meaning to be found. A florist with some experience should be capable of showing you multiple options that are appropriate. Report It

Reply:Go with seasonal flowers of the area. Talk with a local florist and tell them the amount you want to spend per bouquet. Anything between 80 and 100 USD should be fine.
Reply:roses (I like yellow)
Reply:Arabellas
Reply:How lovely! Personally, I'd want something vibrant and enormous. LOL!

I would ask your local florist what they recommend, as some flowers are available seasonally. If the florist is near a base, he/she may have experience making an arrangement for this particular situation. Good luck!
Reply:ask a florist...they will have good ideas for the season. Yellow roses maybe.
Reply:Tulips.

Reply:white, the colour of peace
Reply:An entirely white bouquet always looks stunning!!
